Objective: To determine the relationship that sociodemographic factors have with the proper use of masks and appropriate social distancing to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in people who attend the Surquillo No. 2 market (Lima, Peru). Materials and methods: A quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective community study. Both a survey and a checklist were administered to 385 subjects who attended the Surquillo market between Septemberand October 2020. The sample size was obtained using Epidat 4.2 with an expected proportion of inadequate practices of 50 %, a confidence level of 95 % and an absolute precision of 5 %. Objective: To determine the association between family support and glycemic control among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who attend the outpatient endocrinology office of the Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo. Materials and methods: A quantitative, observational and cross-sectional study was carried out. The sample consisted of 158 diabetic subjects over 18 years of age whose glycosylated hemoglobin was obtained at the time of the consultation using the Epi Info version 7.9.2 software, with a 95 % confidence level, 5 % accuracy and 12.11 % expected frequency. Introduction. Infective Endocarditis (IE) is a disease caused by the invasion of pathogenic organisms into the cardiac endothelium. Objectives. To determine the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of Infectious Endocarditis in the Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, 2014-2019, Lima-Perú. Methods. Observational, descriptive and retrospective study. Patients older than 18 years with a diagnosis of IE according to modified Duke criteria, who had a complete blood count, blood culture, and echocardiogram were included. Objective. To determine the clinical, epidemiological and pathological characteristics of lymphomas in patients of the National Institute of Child Health Breña between 2015-2019. Methods. A quantitative, observational, crosssectional, descriptive and retrospective study was carried out; corresponding to pediatric patients diagnosed with lymphoma between 2015 and 2019. The SPSS v24 program was used for the analysis. The quantitative variables were expressed in measures of central tendency and the qualitative ones in absolute and relative frequencies. Results. 43 cases were included, the average age was 7.2 years (1a – 16a), 72.1% (n = 31) were male. Objective: To describe the clinical–epidemiological characteristics and management of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in patients treated at the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja (INSN–SB). Materials and methods: A retrospective and descriptive study conducted in patients with AVM treated at the INSN–SB between 2015 and 2017. Data was processed and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics statistical software version 22. The qualitative variables were expressed in absolute and relative frequencies. Results: Forty-one (41) AVM cases were identified, being more frequent in the age group between 6 and 12 years (56.10 %) and in females (65.90 %). Objetivo: Describir las características clínico-quirúrgicas y sociodemográficas de pacientes con atresia esofágica (AE) del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja (INSN-SB) 2015-2017. Material y métodos: Estudio observacional descriptivo de casos con AE 2015-2017. Los datos se procesaron y analizaron en el programa SPSS v20, las variables cualitativas fueron expresadas en frecuencias absolutas y relativas. Resultados: Se analizaron 74 casos con AE, 55,4% (n=41) fueron de sexo masculino. Según edad gestacional 45 a término, 28 pre-término y un post-término. El 59,5% tuvieron peso adecuado al nacer. 28,4% tuvieron control prenatal (CPN) completo y 68,9% no tuvieron diagnóstico prenatal de AE.
