Objective: To describe the clinical–epidemiological characteristics and management of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVM) in patients treated at the Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja (INSN–SB). Materials and methods: A retrospective and descriptive study conducted in patients with AVM treated at the INSN–SB between 2015 and 2017. Data was processed and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics statistical software version 22. The qualitative variables were expressed in absolute and relative frequencies. Results: Forty-one (41) AVM cases were identified, being more frequent in the age group between 6 and 12 years (56.10 %) and in females (65.90 %). Objetivos: Describir las características clínico epidemiológicas y manejo quirúrgico de las MAVc en el Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja (INSN–SB). Metodología: Estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo, de serie de casos de pacientes con MAVc en el INSN - SB atendidos del 2015–2017. El análisis exigió estadística descriptiva, se utilizó el programa SPSS versión 22. Los datos cualitativos fueron expresados como frecuencias/porcentajes y las variables cuantitativas mediante media/desviación estándar. Resultados: Se identificaron 41 pacientes con MAVc siendo la edad promedio 10 años. El sexo femenino aportó más casos de MAVc (65.9%) y ruptura de MAVc (56.7%). La cefalea (92.7%) y la hemorragia intracraneal (68.3%) fueron rasgos clínicos frecuentes.
