This paper reflects on how Constitutional Law should be studied, highlighting that it tends to be considered an “infused” knowledge due to its apparent simplicity, which leads to unfounded opinions. Unlike other branches of law, Constitutional Law tends to be approached with less academic rigor. The author analyzes the lack of institutional stability in the history of the Peruvian government, the weakness of the educational system and the scarcity of specialized books as reasons for the general lack of knowledge. In addition, he argues that constitutional study must go beyond reading the Constitution; a systematic approach is necessary, supported by adequate bibliography and a deep knowledge of the fundamental concepts. The purpose of this paper was to decompose the changes in labor productivity of the Peruvian economy into the between- and within-sector effects using 39 sectors in terms of production structure for the period 1997-2007. This sectoral level of analysis was contrasted with a similar, although extended, decomposition at firm level using a sample of 7096 formal manufacturing enterprises for the period 2002-2007. At the sectoral level, the evidence shows that the between-sector or reallocation effects dominate most of the changes in labor productivity in the economy. However, at the firm level, the within-sector effects dominate the changes in labor productivity for the sample of formal firms. Este estudio busca identificar los cambios físicos que sufren las impresiones con alginato una vez retirada de la boca. Como método, se utilizó un diseño de estudio de tipo experimental, descriptivo, de corte transversal. Se aplicó el muestreo por conveniencia, y fueron seleccionados 30 modelos de estudio. Los datos recolectados evidenciaron diferentes medidas entre cada grupo, según la temperatura de conservación, el análisis permitió que las muestras conservadas en ambiente cálido llegan a sufrir cambios físicos llegando a contraerse por pérdida de agua por medio de la evaporación, explicando de esta forma el cambio dimensional del material de impresión. Andean historiographies are impregnated with an extended idea of territorial mutilation, which tends to affect the nation’s image. As well as evoking a social imagery of real and symbolic loss of its original greatness. This kind of “myth of origin” hides the absence of inclusive national projects in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. The notion of loss seems to constitute an attribute, since far from debilitating the imaginary of the nation, tends to reinforce it and to lend it legitimacy. On the southern coast of Peru, the famous site of Cahuachi, the greatest establishment of the ancient Nasca, is traditionally interpreted as either hosting an important population or an exclusive ceremonial centre and a pilgrimage destination. Recently, analysis of cultural material reveal the existence of residential sections in the interior of the temples. Archaeological remains, in particular those excavated on periphery of the great monuments show proofs of permanent domestic life. The architectural organization of the ceremonial center tends toward enclosed and isolated spaces, far from the idea of an urban form. The recent research was aimed to determinate the relationship between Sensation seeking and Antisocial behavior, in a sample of high school students in Puente Piedra district. The sample was made by 260 students from two schools, whose ages range from 13 to 17 years old. The instruments used in this investigation were Zuckerman Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (abbreviated version) (ZKPQ – 50 – CC) and A-D Seisdedos Questionnaire. The results show that students have an average Sensation seeking and antisocial behavior. Pointing out that in general, the sample tends towards this level, the same way all the dimensions are located in the average range. Also there is a significant, positive correlation between sensation seeking and antisocial behavior. This indicates that the evaluated who show greater disposition toward sensation seeking, tends to have antisocial behaviors overall.

The authors study maternal morbidity and mortality in 1088 cases of septic abortion attended at the Maria Auxiliadora Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, from January 1.º, 1990 through December 31, 1993. Findings were compared with those before 1990. Abortion rate in our Hospital is 299 per 1000 live newborns and septic abortion rate 18%. Endometritis complicated all the cases and other severe complications were found in 14,4% of cases. Septic abortion today is more frequent in adolescents than before 1990 and tends to ocurr earlier in pregnancy. Ten percent of patients were submitted to abdominal hysterectomy with or without adnexectomy. maternal mortality by septic abortion was 603 per 100000 live newborns. In conclusion, septic abortion is an important cause of maternal morbidity and mortality in our hospital and its frequency tends to increase.

En este estudio se evaluó el efecto de tres tipos de empadre y dos tipos de alimentación sobre parámetros reproductivos. Se utilizaron 210 cuyes hembras y 30 machos reproductores en un diseño de bloques completos al azar con arreglo factorial de tres tipos de empadre (posparto, posdestete y posdescanso) x dos tipos de alimentación (forraje verde, forraje verde más suplemento). El estudio comprendió la evaluación de las reproductoras durante el segundo y tercer parto. Se encontró efecto del tipo de empadre sobre las variables peso al nacimiento, número de partos por año y uso eficiente del celo (p<0.05). También hubo efecto del tipo de alimentación sobre la variable peso al nacimiento (p<0.05). En general, el centro tiende a ser industrial aunque, dependiendo de la estructura productiva, puede ser exportador o importador, lo cual tiene efectos contrapuestos sobre el empleo y los ingresos. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of three mating types and two feeding types on reproductive parameters. A total of 210 females and 30 males guinea pigs were used in a complete block design with a factorial arrangement of three mating types (post-partum, post weaning, 7-day after weaning) x two feeding types (green forage, green forage with supplement). The study included the evaluation of the reproductive performance of females between the second and third parturition. The results showed the significant effect of the mating type on birth weight, number of parturitions per year and the efficient use of estrus (p<0.05). Objective: To know and compare the knowledge of the investigative competence and the use of strategies for its development, in initial education students of two Peruvian universities. Method: Quantitative approach, basic type, descriptive-comparative level. The sample consisted of 28 students in the fifth year of the initial education career of a public and private university. The instruments were checklists that were validated for study purposes. Result: The level of knowledge about the research competence is lower in private university students (57.1%) but the difference with those of the public university is not significant (U = 341,500; p > 0.05). The Peruvian anchovy (Engraulis ringens) is the most important small pelagic of the Humboldt Current System (HCS), supporting the largest mono-specific fishery in the world. The spatial behavior of this species tends to be very dynamic at different spatial scales, influenced mostly by its biomass level and environmental factors. The aim of this study was to analyze temporal and spatial fluctuations in anchovy spatial distribution off Peru, based and modeled on acoustic data, focusing on large- and meso-scale spatial structures. We employed data from 41 scientific surveys (1994–2016) and Bayesian hierarchical spatial models to obtain the anchovy's spatial distribution, allowing us to identify spatial structures at specific scales.
