El presente trabajo consta de tres partes: una introducción y dos capítulos. En la introducción busco familiarizar al lector con el contexto histórico en el que se desarrollo el pensamiento de George Berkeley. En el primer capítulo, caracterizo el idealismo berkeleyano como un empirismo cartesiano. De esta forma, muestro que Locke y Descartes influyeron directamente en la filosofía de Berkeley e hicieron posible el idealismo. En el segundo capítulo, examino la supuesta incongruencia, encontrada por George Pitcher en la filosofía de Berkeley, entre las siguientes tesis: i. La mente percibe ideas. ii. La mente y sus ideas son completamente distintas. iii. Es falsa la distinción entre la percepción de una idea y la idea percibida. Berkley’s so-called “master argument”—through which he proves his principle esse est percipi—has been submitted to mixed criticisms by various commentators. Some defend its validity from the perspective of their own interpretations, while some claim that the argument is fallacious due to several objections. This article defends the master argument against three objections raised by Russell, Pitcher and Tripton. These could be respectively characterized as “the objection of the confusion of the perceptive act with the perceived object”, “the objection of the confusion of the concept of the object with the object itself”, and “the objection of the solipsism of the present”. La planta está ubicada en Minera Oropesa que se encuentra al NE de Arequipa, en la franja aurífera Nazca – Ocoña entre las altitudes de 1200 a 1800 msnm, (la franja nazca-Ocoña con mineralización oro-cobre-hierro comprende el segmento Arequipa del batolito de la costa (pitcher etal. 1985), se localiza en la costa sur media de Perú. Esta franja aurífera que recorre desde Ica hasta chuquibamba/la joya (Arequipa); está clasificada como una provincia metalogenetica de oro. Para el tratamiento de estos minerales de oro, se aplican los procesos de gravimetría-amalgamación a los minerales de alta ley de oro, y el proceso de lixiviación por cianuración a los minerales de baja ley en oro. Multidisciplinary ocean observing activities provide critical ocean information to satisfy ever-changing socioeconomic needs and require coordinated implementation. The upper oxycline (transition between high and low oxygen waters) is fundamentally important for the ecosystem structure and can be a useful proxy for multiple observing objectives connected to eastern boundary systems (EBSs) that neighbor oxygen minimum zones (OMZs). The variability of the oxycline and its impact on the ecosystem (VOICE) initiative demonstrates how societal benefits drive the need for integration and optimization of biological, biogeochemical, and physical components of regional ocean observing related to EBS. In this paper, we outline the need for a coordinated international effort toward the building of an open-access Global Ocean Oxygen Database and ATlas (GO₂DAT) complying with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). GO₂DAT will combine data from the coastal and open ocean, as measured by the chemical Winkler titration method or by sensors (e.g., optodes, electrodes) from Eulerian and Lagrangian platforms (e.g., ships, moorings, profiling floats, gliders, ships of opportunities, marine mammals, cabled observatories). GO₂DAT will further adopt a community-agreed, fully documented metadata format and a consistent quality control (QC) procedure and quality flagging (QF) system. ABSTRACT The present investigation has as purpose production of biofloculant dextran using Leuconostoc mesenteroides var mesenteroides isolated from residual cane juice, as well as, to evaluate its in vitro flocculant activity in effluents from la azucarera Cartavio S.A.A. Leuconostoc mesenteroides var mesenteroides was isolated from 15 samples of residual cane juice from the fields of Casa Grande S.A.A. for which 0.1 ml of juice of the dilution of 105 was inoculated in MSE agar selective medium (Mayeux, Sandine & Elliker) and incubated at 30 ° C for 48 hours, at pH 7.2. The bacteria were isolated by obtaining four biochemically identified strains according to the Bergey’s Manual of Bacteriological Determination. La secuencia estratigráfica del área de Lima que visitaremos en estos dos días pertenece a la Cuenca Río Cañete que aflora a lo largo de la faja Costanera en el Perú Central (Cobbing, 1978, Cobbing y otros, 1981). Esta cuenca está limitada por fallas formadas durante la extensión ensiálica que ocurrió episódicamente durante el Mesozoico y que es parte integral de la evolución dinámica de los Andes. La secuencia expuesta varía en edad desde el Jurásico tardío (Titoniano) hasta el Albiano y consiste de más de 6,000 metros de rocas volcaniclásticas, lavas andesíticas a andesitas basálticas, calizas limoarcillosas, areniscas cuarzosas, y en forma subordinada calizas fosilíferas y evaporitas.
