We report documented records of the Marañón Crescentchest (Melanopareia maranonica) in six localities. These have hydrological connectivity with the middle basin of the Marañón River, in the provinces of Celendín (Cajamarca) and Luya (Amazonas), Peru. The records were obtained through occasional encounters, biological evaluations and intensive searches, between 2017 and 2020. These new records are between 1111 and 2074 m in elevation, exceeding its known altitudinal range by more than 1000 m. A total of 39 individuals were registered (11 females, 12 males and 16 indeterminate due to the fact that only auditory registration was made). We expanded the known range with respect to the published records by 121 km in the Cajamarca region and 98.2 km in the Amazonas region. Huata is an Archaeological Site located in the area known as Alto Marañón (Huánuco), and has brief references in the archaeological publications. Therefore, a way to approach its study was to characterize its chronology and architecture based on the analysis of the exposed structures, defining its typology, a comparative study will make with other sites in the area, especially Rapayán (Áncash) and Piruro (Huánuco); in addition, a review of the visit of Miguel de La Serna and Juan de Espinosa in 1549 will make. Consequently, this is a site with occupations from the Late Intermediate to the early Colonial Period, a historical process evidenced in the variability of its structures. Finally, the particular architectural and spatial configuration would suggest a dual organization, a recurrent characteristic of some social groups that occupied the Central Andes.

La importancia del río Marañón debe ser motivo para registrar la enorme biodiversidad que alberga; sin embargo, son escasos los estudios que han evaluado peces en este gran ambiente lótico. Por este motivo, en la presente investigación se analizaron muestras obtenidas de 10 polígonos (estaciones de muestreo) ubicados en el Bajo Marañón (Datem del Marañón, Loreto), en la época de transición a seca del año 2018. El esfuerzo de muestreo fue mayor que los habitualmente realizados, debido al uso de distintos artes de pesca. El objetivo principal fue describir la ictiofauna de la zona y determinar su estado de conservación. Estudios prospectivos desarrollados en la zna de la cuenca del Marañón nos muestran un tipo de geología regional denominada Complejo del Marañón-Región Huánuco, consistente en minerales metálicos de Cobre, Plata, Oro en esquistos y gneis en contacto con intrusivos, así como también minerales de níquel, cobalto, titanio, platino, entre otros. Prospective studies developed in the zone of the Marañón basin show us a type of regional geology called the Marañón-Huánuco Region Complex, consisting of metallic minerals of Copper, Silver, Gold in schists and gneiss in contact with intrusives, as well as minerals of nickel, cobalt, titanium, platinum, among others. The characterization of the minerals in the area using instrumental techniques: minerographic microscope, Mössbauer spectroscopy analysis, multielemental chemical analysis, allow us to corroborate the presence of the metallic minerals of the Marañón Complex, as well as the presence of iron oxides, and to a degree of magnetization that are indicators of the metallic presence in the sampled areas. The analysis carried out from the investigation in the Manchac administrative center, gives us as results different complex cultural aspects, initially the evidence objectively shows us an architectural pattern that looks dazzling and imposing. The Manchac administrative center is located in the upper basin of the Marañón river, it is associated with the longitudinal path of the Qhapaq Ñan, heading towards the northeast of Chachapoyas. Prior to the construction of Manchac, the Huacrachuco society developed in said territory. Manchac, has buildings that clearly show the construction pattern of the Incas; in it the reflection of political, ideological and economic power. Having said this, we can assure that Manchac, within the Inca system, is presented as an important establishment of the high cashew.

Taking the Peru a leadership in the production of metals in the world, the world’s largest producer of silver, the second of copper and zinc, and the sixth in gold, it is necessary to develop intensive metallurgical research to give greater technological value to our concentrates. In the framework of clean technologies direct reduction of sulphides is of interest in metallurgical processes for obtaining base metal. In this investigation shows results of the kinetics of direct reduction of the chalcopyrite of complex marañón with coal in the presence of dolomite as an opportunity to produce copper from a sulphide avoiding air pollution. We studied the effect of the variables involved in the reduction carbotermica: Temperature, reasons molars of reactants, being kinetic model that we describe the phenomenology of reduction process of the chalcopyrite.

El presente estudio forma parte de las actividades que desarrolla la Dirección General de Hidrología y Recursos Hídricos, con el fin de contribuir al desarrollo del país mediante el conocimiento del comportamiento hidrológico y meteorológico de las principales variables que forman parte del ciclo hidrológico (precipitación, evaporación, transpiración, escurrimiento). La cuantificación de cada una de las variables del ciclo hidrológico, nos permitirá conocer la disponibilidad del recurso agua en la cuenca a nivel espacial y temporal, mediante la determinación del Balance Hídrico Superficial.

In the river Marañon, region Loreto, there are the archaeological places of Cuninico and Maipuco. Both places, given his context can give us a new idea of the importance and complexity of the existing pre-Columbian societies in the banks of Marañon and the adjacent gorges even already much brought in the XVIth century. While the registered materials give us information of the continuity in some even existing cultural events in the field of the communities of the ethnic group urarina.

El propósito de nuestro proyecto es la elaboración de la leche a base de semilla de marañón ya que tiene excelentes propiedades medicinales y nutricionales como las vitaminas B1 y B2, la vitamina E, calcio y magnesio. Es muy rico en fibra, proteínas y diversos ácidos grasos ideales para reducir el colesterol, fortifica la memoria y ayuda a disminuir algunos trastornos renales. Es por ello que nuestro proyecto va sacar al mercado un sustituto de la leche que además de nutrir su consumo ayudará a su salud además será una bebida con un envase eco amigable.

In this article we try to present some relevant aspects of the fictional nature of El Marañón of Diego de Aguilar y Cordova. To this end, we will make evident the narrator’s discursive strategies, the fictional aspects related to the legends of the New World; and finally, as evidence of Aguilar’s obvious literary work, we want to show the differences regarding to his main reference source. Unlike other contemporary texts that deal with the same adventure of Lope de Aguirre, this work is clearly profiled as an artistic and successfully finished work of the renaissance in Peru.
