El presente estudio tiene como propósito comprender el control social de parte de la élite local en la ciudad de Chillán durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y principio del siglo XX, como un proyecto valórico-cultural subyacente con la transmisión de; costumbres y prácticas socioculturales dentro del espacio urbano-civilizado para establecer orden, obediencia civil y disciplinamiento del espacio público urbano como; la plaza, prácticas de salubridad y obras de carácter públicos. Por lo tanto, se realizó un análisis discursivo para comprender las prácticas de control social de la elite local entre los años 1835-1900 sobre la población de Chillán.

Objective: The objective was to measure the self-esteem of schoolchildren aged 8 to 13 diagnosedwith ADHD. In private schools and municipal schools in the city of Chillán. Methodology: Quantitative,transversal methodology was used. The Marchant, Isabel Haeussler and Torretti School Self-EsteemTest (TAE) was applied. Results: At the end of the investigation, there was a significant differencebetween the self-esteem of students from subsidized and municipal private schools (p = 0.771), Fisher’sexact statistical test did not show a relationship between the variables of type of school and self-esteem(p = 0.597). This study aimed to describe the behavioral problems observed in the classroom, according to teachers' reports. A questionnaire created for this study was answered by 55 teachers, (female = 70,9% and men = 29,1%), among five schools of Chillán, Chile. Teachers indicated that among the behavioral problems, non-compliance behavior is observed with frequency (43,6%). This study is a starting point for future investigation on this topic, that addresses regional and national phenomena.

The history of the Adventist School of Pua and the Adventist School of Chillándate back to the early twentieth century in Chile. The first school was founded in 1902 with the establishment of the Adventist School of Santiago and in 1906 the Adventist School of Pua was founded, directed by Carlos Krieghoff, whose purpose was the formation of workers, evangelization of the native people of the sector and later to serve as the initiators of Adventist education in Chile.In 1922 the Church decided to transfer the school to the town of Chillán, due to its connectivity and closeness with the capital and with the objective of preparing workers for the Adventist work.

Objective: To identify the relationship that self-esteem has on the subjective happiness of theemployees of the health area of a primary health center in Chillán. Methodology: Quantitativeapproach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational type. the studied populationcorresponded to 250 civil servants analyzed in an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 105 people.The Rosemberg Self-Esteem Scale and the Lyubomirsky and Lepper Subjective Happiness Scalewere used as measurement instruments. Results: There is a relationship between the medians of thevariables average self-esteem and average subjective happiness, with a significance of (P <0.000) and a strength of R = 0.386. The article analyzes the Franciscan Order of Chile in the independence period, focusing on two units: the Province of the Holy Trinity and the Chillan Mission College. First, we offer a look from historiography and then give way to the voices and actions of some religious in the independence process. The Order had to collaborate with the civil authorities in a climate of war, with either economic donations or facilitating their dependencies to the army. However, another thing is to observe its position in the face of events and the way they channeled it. La historia del Colegio Adventista de Púa y del Colegio Adventista de Chillán, se remontan a comienzos del siglo XX en Chile. El primer colegio fue fundado en 1902 con la fundación de la Escuela Adventista de Santiago y en 1906 fue fundado el Colegio Adventista de Púa, dirigido por Carlos Krieghoff, cuyo propósito fue la formación de obreros, evangelización de los indígenas del sector y más tarde ser los iniciadores de la Educación en Chile. En 1922 la Iglesia determinó el traslado del Colegio a la comuna de Chillán, por la conectividad y cercanía con la capital con el objetivo de preparar obreros para la obra adventista.
