Background: Bullying is a complex problem and research suggests focusing on adolescents’ individual characteristics, as well as exploring those contexts that affect their development, such as family and school contexts, by adopting an ecological vision. Objective: To inquire into the individual factors (prosocial/antisocial behaviors) and the characteristics of family and school contexts related to bullying behavior in adolescents attending public and private schools in the city of Córdoba. Method: A test battery was administered to 3,500 adolescents between 11 and 20 years old to measure the study variables. A multiple correspondence analysis was performed. Our hypothesis points out the impossibility to study these policies isolated from the urban social context where they are developed, making up a type of city and the citizens for such city. This article analyses the role of knowledge in the production of new social relations and institutional configurations in the context of a water crisis in Sierras Chicas, Córdoba, Argentina. Based on an ethnographic approach; it analyses the way in which factual information of scientific and non-scientific origin, operates as knowledge in two different but complementary ways: on the one hand, it is appropriated and used as the basis of visibility strategies by different groups and non-governmental organizations; on the other hand, it works as the ground for active interventions on the water crisis, generating both cohesive and conflictual relations. The reproduction and diet were studied in Mabuya dorsivittata a viviparous lizard from Alto Alegre (Córdoba). The smallest female with yolking ovarian follicles measured (svl) 41 mm, and the smallest male with spermatozoa in the testes measures (svl) 31mm. The litter size was from five to ten embryos. A positive and significant correlation existed between the weight of the eggs or embryos and the reproductive state (B = 0,524, R = 0,254, P 0,001). In males there was a positive and significant correlation between the testicular volume and the reproductive state (R2 = 0,851, b= 0,929, P= 0,002). The article presents the results of the research regarding business elites of the province of Córdoba, Argentina, between 2015 and 2019. Beginning with the discussion of Latin-American and Argentinian research literature, it focuses on the analysis of businessmen’s social trajectories, describing its similarities and building a typology of its differences. The inquiry takes, as a theoretical position, the proposal of Tilly (2000) regarding inequality mechanisms. The research was carried out with a qualitative methodological approach, including multiple techniques (press analysis, observation and biographical interviews). The tripartite model proposed by Feagin (1972) is widely used, although empirical evidence does not always support it. Thus, we set out to obtain empirical evidence on the psychometric properties of a pool of items on causes of poverty using CTT and IRT. In this research/study, 280 citizens of Córdoba from 18 to 65 years old participated. Results from confirmatory factor analysis and internal consistency showed acceptable values for the three-factor models. Results derived from IRT indicate that, in general, the items estimate a wide range of values of the latent traits, discriminating between people with different levels of trait. The need to gather new empirical evidence of Feagin’s proposal using complementary methods is highlighted.

En el Chaco cordobés la agricultura intensiva ha simplificado el hábitat y empobrecido la biodiversidad. El Departamento Totoral en el centro provincial, consiste en una matriz agrícola con escasos relictos de bosque. La incidencia de la transformación agrícola del hábitat sobre atributos de las comunidades de vertebrados, se estudió en remanentes de vegetación nativa con distinta condición y forma (hábitat cuadrangular HC y alongado HA). La estructura del hábitat, aún con influencia climática, fue más completa en el primero; en HA se comprobó ausencia de estratos superiores a 7 m, arbustización y aumento de suelo desnudo. El Chaco -hábitat reproductivo de aves migratorias- tiene mayor prioridad de conservación en Sudamérica. Su estacionalidad hídrica típica influye en la disponibilidad de recursos, así como en la composición y organización de avifauna. Sobre éstas inciden la fragmentación y reemplazo del bosque por expansión agrícola. Un arroyo que transita por el Valle de Punilla (Córdoba, Argentina), perteneciente a la cuenca hídrica que desemboca en el Lago San Roque -reservorio natural que suministra agua potable a la ciudad de Córdoba, con más de dos millones de habitantes- fue contaminado por descargas de desagües cloacales, proveniente de fallas en la estación de bombeo de la empresa de servicio público de tratamiento de los residuos. Se efectuaron análisis químicos al curso de agua, que determinaron la presencia de bacterias contaminantes, por lo que se aplicó la Ley Nacional de Residuos Peligrosos 24051 y el Código Penal Argentino, por tratarse de un daño calificado a un bien de uso público. Este artículo describe la aplicación y la efectividad empírica de la legislación aplicable en materia de contaminación ambiental.

The article engages the connections between development and infrastructure in an area of the city of Córdoba, Argentina, called the Fifth Section. From an ideological critique approach, the research examines three urban interventions inaugurated during 2018 and 2019, oriented to achieve fast circulation, urban safety, and social inclusion. The proposal, on one hand, presents a field of interrogations around the concepts of development, ideology and cities. Starting from the premise that acting in the city of Córdoba (Argentina) is configured in spaces of acting training, through the proposed link between an ethics of being with others and the construction of corporeality. Therefore, this research aims to study the acting training of some independent theater groups in the city of Cordoba, specifically the ideas of acting that underlie these trainings, what skills are sought to develop, what corporealities are built through acting training and how the group dimension operates in the training processes. The silverside Odontesthes bonariensis is the most important species in the fisheries of central Argentina. Capture per unit effort (CPUE), body condition, growth and feeding were studied for O. bonariensis in the Pampean shallow lake “Los Charos” (34º28´S, 64º23´W, 240 ha), located in Córdoba province. Four seasonal sampling procedures were carried out during 2002-2003. Floating gillnets and trawlnets were used to capture the fishes. Specimens captured (n= 2862) were ranged between 38 and 380 mm of standar length (StL). CPUE average was 74.3(±71,0) kg/20 hs/gillnets. The StL–weight relationship showed signifficant differences along the seasons (P< 0,01). The body score indices were within the reffered limits for this species. This article presents the results of a research on the transformations in policing practices and population control during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ways in which these changes were experienced by police officers in Córdoba (Argentina), in the case of the Villa María-Villa Nueva urban agglomerate during 2020-2021. Here we will address the conflicts that were relevant in this location during said period, analyzing the transformations that were identified in police practices and their ways of intervening in these conflicts. Si bien se conoce que los incendios de campos ejercen impacto negativo sobre el bosque serrano, no existen antecedentes de trabajos que cuantifiquen la incidencia de los incendios sobre la diversidad vegetal de la región. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar el efecto de los incendios forestales sobre la composición florística, la estructura y la diversidad de la vegetación del Bosque Serrano en la provincia de Córdoba. The article analyzes the place of the media in the construction of experiences and meanings about insecurity, giving an account of findings and theoretical-methodological keys that contribute to the approach of the diffuse power of the media in this phenomenon.
