The north of Peru is characterized by the presence of world-class porphyry (Cu-Au and Cu-Mo) and epithermal (Au) deposits, located on the west of central Andes, northern Peru. These mines and mineralized deposits are present in a temporal-structural associated with Neogene magmatism with ages from 24 Ma to 7 Ma, intruding silica-clastic rocks from the upper Cretaceous, which, due to the effects of tectonic deformations, particularly in the Cenozoic (Incaica and Quechua phases), led to the occurrence of mega controls Structural problems such as the one proposed in the following publication and hopes to open a window of debate in its environment. Structurally, the deposits in the north of Peru are controlled by mega structural systems that contain the Punre - Canchis fault (Rivera et al., 2008) in the eastern sector as the main structural accident, as well as the system of folds and faults...

Geophysical studies oriented to characterization play a very important role in providing a better understanding of the internal structure of the earth and specifically of a new study area and consequently being able to map its properties, its characteristics and the effects generated by the processes of geological alteration. This will finally generate a better geological - geophysical interpretation in the new study zone. In this research work the chargeability data registered in the time domain is being used, firstly the values registered through the 20 windows sampled in time are used and this decay curve obtained is the one used to determine the function transfer that expresses the behavior of the subsoil when applying a current and observing its chargeability. This transfer function is then used, and the Fourier transform is applied to decompose this new signal into its spectral val...

Skarn-type deposits show complex mineralogical and textural relationships because of the variety of geological processes involved in their development. Mineral associations can be further complicated by supergene leaching and oxidation. Consequently, hydrothermal alterations constitute complex geochemical signatures to be analysed under a number of factors in these mineralised systems, which are conclusive in vectoring these types of deposits. This study is proposed in order to understand these alterations and to propose their usefulness in the exploration of Cu-Zn skarn deposits. The methodology of bibliographic research and case studies was used, from three main sources of data: information from the Mesozoic sedimentary belt of the Inter-Andean Cordillera and the Yauli dome, case studies from different parts of the world and analysis of the geological, magmatic and petrological conditi...

Geometallurgy is defined as the study of the genesis of minerals with respect to the performance of their metallurgical processing. The construction of geometallurgical models is of the utmost importance for the technical-economic evaluation of the deposit. The robustness of the model depends on the number of resources invested to generate potential information that will serve in decision making. The relevance of the geometallurgical model has a high value in mining management, which serves as an instrument for the planning, exploitation and design of metallurgical processes according to the type of deposit. Using the information to maximize economic performance in concentration processes has enormous potential and challenge for plant operators. This article will discuss the use of data analysis and its applications in several successful cases for porphyry-type deposits, taking...

Concern about reducing greenhouse gases drives us to migrate to the use of clean energy. Therefore, a large investment in the green economy modality is necessary, since the brown economy does not include sustainable development (Campos, 2010). When we talk about the economy in Peru, it is important to mention mining and its benefits, not only economic, but also environmental. The article aims to investigate and highlight the importance of mining as a driver of the green economy, this from the point of view of its minerals. A clear example of this are critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, nickel, silver, and tungsten, crucial in the manufacture of new clean technologies. So also, minerals, which, indirectly, are necessary in the infrastructure, such as copper, iron, aluminum, steel; These are characterized by their durability and, in cases such as copper, being 100% recyclable. This ...
