Propone un modelo estructural, el cual es un sigmoide de cinemática normal, siniestral que tiene por lineamientos o bordes extremos al sistema de fallas Huaraz - Recuay en su sector occidental y al sistema de fallas de la Cordillera Blanca en su sector oriental. Asimismo se tienen fracturas riedels R1 (Fracturas que tienen un ángulo de 15° de orientación respecto del plano principal de falla) y riedels R2 (Fracturas que tienen un ángulo de 75° de orientación respecto del plano principal de falla). Todo este conjunto de fallas permite interpretar y explicar la presencia de yacimientos minerales en la Cordillera Negra.
