Molecular analysis of human biological material allows the identification of future biomarkers to improve the management of patients with cancer. However, the handling of these samples requires particular ethical considerations. Different organizations such as the European Council and government agencies of the United States have generated different documents with definitions, mechanisms, and regulations to avoid putting at risk of harm or violating the rights of donors of biological samples. Finally, all these documents have evolved over time and have allowed research institutions to have standard committees and regulations in ethics. Thus, legal institutions can create precedents and generate coherent sentences.

Objective: To describe the results of transperineal prostate biopsy by fusion of cognitive magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound in the detection of cancer. Materials and methods: A retrospective case series study conducted at the Delgado Clinic between July 2019 and October 2021. Patients with digital prostate examination and/or abnormal Prostatic Specific Antigen and prostate MRI images with category lesions were included. PI-RADS 4 or 5. Excluding patients with coagulation disorders, rectal injuries, impossibility for abduction, comorbidities for anesthesia. We recorded clinical and demographic characteristics, prostate-specific antigen data, prostate volume, PI-RADS lesions, cancer rates, and complications. Results: 18 patients were evaluated, with a mean age of 69.33 ± 7.67 years. The mean prostate specific antigen was 14.94 ± 12.42 ng/mL. The mean prostate volume was 57.72 ±...

Lung cancer is a public health problem due to its high morbidity and mortality worldwide and in Peru. In non-small cell lung cancer, the detection of mutations of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) has been useful for the choice of therapeutics for this disease. In the present article we aim to discuss current and relevant information on the best diagnostic technique for EGFR in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. The main cancer guidelines and two systematic reviews showed evidence in favor of the diagnosis of EGFR gene mutations on liquid biopsy as an alternative to tissue biopsy at the beginning of diagnosis and with a greater acceptance use, in the clinical setting of NSCLC patients with sensitive EGFR mutations. This healthcare technology may be useful in our country, and we propose its use in two clinical scenarios.

Introduction: This article provides recommendations for the Multidisciplinary Management of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma in the RED AUNA. Methods: A systematic search of clinical practice guidelines (CPG) similar to topics of interest was developed, it was assessed with the AGREE II instrument, a list of questions was elaborated under the PICO structure, a de novo search was carried out prioritizing reviews systematic with or without meta-analysis, followed by primary studies, the elaboration of the evidence tables and the evaluation of the global quality for the outcomes of the clinical questions was carried out following the GRADE methodology. Results: 5 PICO questions corresponding to initial management and systemic management were formulated with 18 recommendations regarding the most effective method for pathological diagnosis, biliary drainage and the most effective and safe systemic t...
