En el trabajo de investigación el objetivo fue determinar la calidad microbiológica del agua para el consumo humano en la comunidad de Colpa Tuapampa, Chota. La investigación es transversal, descriptivo comparativo. La investigación se realizó en el laboratorio de ensayo acreditado por el organismo peruano de acreditación INACAL - DA. Se trabajó con 12 muestras de agua de consumo humano, las cuales fueron recolectadas, durante cuatro meses de evaluación (cada 30 días), en 3 captaciones: El Lanche, el Cuan y la Chorrera; en cada captación se analizaron 3 parámetros microbiológicos: coliformes totales, coliformes termotolerantes y Escherichia coli, se sometieron a un análisis de laboratorio siendo los resultados comparados con los valores estándar.
