Se presenta un caso de Tricobezoar gástrico en una paciente adulta, sexo femenino, con antecedente de tricofagia, perversión del apetito (pica) y disfunción familiar. El diagnóstico fue confirmado por el hallazgo endoscópico que informa la presencia de pelos que ocupa gran parte de la cavidad gástrica. Como aporte a la casuística de esta patología rara presen- tamos este caso que es el primero en la Sala San Andrés y el tercero en el hospital Dos de Mayo, en los últimos 20 años. Se hace una revisión sobre las características más importantes que acompañan a ésta entidad patológica. En el estudio endoscópico también se encontró una úlcera péptica en la incisura, no sangrante. La cirugía abdominal ha confirmado el diagnóstico de Tricobezoar. La recuperación fue satisfactoria.

Objectives: To determine the incidence of criptococcus meningitis (CM) in patients who died with HIV infection stage AIDS at the Hospital National Dos de Mayo (HNDM).Methods: A retrospective study of 21 patients who died with CM and AIDS since January 1991 until December 1994 at the HNDM.Results: The incidence of CM in patients with AIDS was 10,2%. All were males. The highest incidence was between 26 and 30 years. Risk factors found were: homosexuality in 38%, bisexuality in 33,1%, and heterosexuality promiscuous in 26,6%. In addition, 38% of the patients showed alcohol, cocaine and marihuana abuse. ELISA and Western Blot tests for HIV were used. The diagnosis of CM was made by finding criptococcus neoformans in CSF, by direct exam, 76,2%; by culture,14,2% and by both methods 8,5%. Objetivos: Estimar la prevalencia de vida de la conducta suicida y variables asociadas en estudiantes de nutrición de una universidad pública peruana. Material y métodos: Estudio descriptivo y analítico, de corte transversal. Del universo de 322 alumnos, los estudiantes del 5º año, no pudieron participar, lo cual redujo la población total a 269 (de 1º. a 4º. años). De estos, 131 (49 %) aceptaron la encuesta voluntariamente. Se aplicaron cuestionarios previamente validados sobre conducta suicida y pensamiento homicida, escalas de Ansiedad y Depresión de Zung, indicadores de conducta antisocial y CAGE (problemas relacionados con uso de alcohol). The purpose of this study is to estimate the prevalence of this problem among students from the School of Social Work at the university, as there are no data on the country. To estimate the prevalence of suicidal behavior and associated factors in students of the School of Social Work at San Marcos. METHODS: Cross-sectional analytical study on the universe of students enrolled in the School of Social Work in 2011. In group sessions, were applied measuring instruments (scales of self-measurement of depression and anxiety Zung, guest suicidal, homicidal thoughts and indicators of antisocial behavior and CAGE) students who previously gave written informed consent. Data were subjected to descriptive and specific analysis of key survey variables.
