La presente investigación tiene como objetivo calcular el Índice de Progreso Social de la provincia de Ica, región Ica para el periodo del 2019. El estudio se enfocó en cuatro zonas delimitadas por su ubicación y área geográfica, con un total de 384 encuestas realizada a cada jefe de hogar y con información de fuente secundaria se elaboraron 53 indicadores que presentan información social y ambiental. De acuerdo a la metodología del Social Progress Imperative se calculó el score de las zonas y la provincia de Ica en los doce componentes y tres dimensiones que integran el IPS.
