We studied medicinal plants expended in five major markets, San Pedro, San Jerónimo, Ttio, Wanchaq and four small zonal, Rosaspata, San Sebastian, Molino II, Huancaro and Santa Rosa, in the city of Cusco. It was aimed to know the richness, how to use treated conditions, place of origin, distributions and source. We recorded 152 species into 45 families, the families more riches were Asteraceae with 36 species and Lamiaceae (12), species most frequently bought and sold in all markets were Muehlenbeckia volcanica (Benth.) Endl. "Mullaca" Perezia virens (D. Don) Hook. & Arn. "Valeriana", Matricaria recutita L. "Manzanilla" and Hypochaeris taraxacoides (Walp.) B. & H. We present 25 new records of angiosperms for the Peruvian flora, as a result of different botanical explorations conducted in southern Peru, mainly in the areas of the departments of Cusco, Apurimac and Madre de Dios.

Between 2000 and 2016 we carried out 15 rapid biological inventories in remote areas of the Andean foothills and Amazon basin in Peru. During these inventories, 27 botanists collected 9397 fertile vascular plant specimens. By the end of 2017, more than half of these specimens had been identified to species. Of the 2303 species identified to date, 64 species and 2 genera (Dicorynia and Monopteryx) are new records for the flora of Peru. If this rate of discovery proves typical, the number of new records for Peru in the rapid inventory material could increase, which indicates that there is still much to discover in the Peruvian flora.

Los bosques pre-montanos y montanos son poco estudiados y su composición florística es muy poco conocida, aunque últimamente aquí se han descubierto nuevas especies de árboles. Describimos la diversidad, composición florística y estructura del bosque en 13 parcelas permanentes de 1 ha, evaluadas en el 2018 en el Transecto Yanachaga en el Perú (400 a 3170msnm). Registramos un total de 6998 árboles, 617 especies, 249 géneros y 82 familias. Existe unas altas correlaciones entre la altitud, la riqueza y diversidad de especies. La mayor riquezaocurre en la parcela PNY-05 a 470 msnm con 202 especies y la menor con 43 especies en la parcela PNY-01 a 3170 mnsm. La altura promedio del dosel es mayor entre los 400 y 800 msnm, y disminuye progresivamente a medida que se va subiendo, presentando alturas mínimas entre 2800 y 3170 msnm.
