The Metallurgical Mining Patrimony of Tinyahuarco (Smelter) is located 10 km southwest of Cerro de Pasco city, and between years 1906 and 1923, was the biggest foundry of the time that worked. The remains of the foundry deserve to be catalogued as a metallurgical mining patrimony because besides the infrastructure of walls and columns, which persist until today, also remain some parts like the furnace, the coke plant, some offices and the hotel; from them, the one that is in good condition, is the superintendent residence, which at the moment is inhabited. It is important to remark the history of the mining activity in this region that was transformed by the presence of the foundry of Tinyahuarco (Smelter), constructed with North American investments that helped to develop the mining industry with the best technology of the time, changing many social and economical aspects of the region ...

The present research work shows that for the construction of a transmission line 220 kv. from Cajamarca – Carhuamayo, was emitted to the atmosphere 4025 tons of CO2 equivalent, which leads us to think that all activity is responsible for the emission of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere Which will lead to Global Warming to lead us to Climate Change afterwards. This work was made on the basis of 2 scopes; scope 1 caused by fuel consumption and scope 2 caused by electricity consumption, from which scope 1 represents 93% to 3756 tons of CO2 compared with 7% from scope 2 with 2 269 tons of CO2 equivalent, this is due to that the main input for the development of this construction project was fuel. This makes the company to take the right measures to decrease on what is most affecting GHG emissions and focus efforts on it.

The aim of this work is the evaluation of both adsorption-desorption mechanisms of hexavalent chromium in two metallurgical wastes. These processes were investigated using batch tests. Theses wastes correspond to the metallurgical processes of Ni-Co recovery in Cuban industries. The first one (called SAL-waste) is originated by sulphuric acid leaching and the second one (ACL-waste) is the by-product of ammonia-carbonate metallurgical leaching. The wastes are mainly constituted by iron minerals. Grain size distribution is poorly graded with a average value of diameter is about 0.02 mm. The adsorption isotherms of Cr in ACL and SAL are strongly non-linear and well described by the Freundlich equations (S = Kf Cn w). Desorption isotherms of Cr in both wastes are near-linear and illustrate very well the presence of a hysteretic process. The time of Cr adsorption short and desorption is very ...

The microbasin is a basin Huaycoloro very dynamic, with various phenomena of landslides in recent decades has caused landslides and flooding avenue in the bottom of the basin, causing great economic losses, especially in populations Huachipa Campoy and Zarate. In this first paper we estimate peak discharges for which begins with a geographical description of the study area, then the hydrologic analysis is done and finally get the estimation of peak discharges for the synthetic unit method (SCS), resulting the following maximum capacities for 10 years 18.36 m3/s to 50.40 m3/s and finally 50 years to 200 years 116.91 m3/s.

The North Peruvian Andes present a remarkable and complete cretaceous sedimentation accumulated in a siliciclastic and carbonate platform, with a very important subsidence; which, during the Cenozoic, was affected by a compressive tectonic style, which generated a system of folds and reverse faults with vergence to the east. This entire system is cut by numerous stocks and porphyritic subvolcanic domes of acid composition, which follow an Andean course (approximately NW-SE), which have served as a source of mineralizing fluids for the different mineralized areas in the strip between the sierra of the department of La Libertad and the south of the department of Cajamarca (7 ° -8 ° S). Within this strip, various prospects of epithermal mineralization of precious minerals (Au) are associated with compressive shear zones, which have siliciclastic sequences from the Chimú Formation (Lower ...
