In Peru, the performance of new grafted coffee cultivars (Coffea arabica L.) onto Coffea canephora, in the presence of Meloidogyne, has not yet been quantified, therefore, this essay had as objective to quantify the behaviour of six cultivars of coffee (Acaia, Catuai, Icatú Vermelho, Ibairi, Mundo Novo and Caturra Vermelho), grafted onto C. canephora, in the presence of these organisms. Plant height (A), shoot diameter (D), number of leaves (NH), fresh weight (PF), dry weight (PS) of plants, slenderness index (IE) and the Dickson quality index (ICD) were evaluated. The results showed the interaction between the type of cultivar and the nematodes, using C. canephora as a rootstocks. Orchids have a long period of production and need to be under the right conditions. Therefore, in vitro propagation is an alternative to reduce production time. This study aimed to determine the optimal in vitro propagation conditions in two species of orchids, Cattleya maxima Lindl. and Phalaenopsis amabilis (L.) Blume. For this goal, two experiments were carried out: multiplication and rooting, for both species. In the multiplication experiment, the treatments were differentiated according to the complement of MS (Murashige and Skoog medium), banana flour, kinetin or 6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP). Meanwhile, in the rooting experiment, the complements were banana flour, Indol-3-butiric acid (IBA), Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D). Este trabajo se realizó en la localidad de Jipijapa, en la provincia de Manabí (Ecuador), con el objetivo de caracterizar las fincas productoras de café. Se trabajó con la Asociación Cafetalera de Cabo de Hacha con una población de 451 productores de la que se tomó una muestra (n=83) para hacer una encuesta que incluía preguntas relacionadas con aspectos técnicos y socio-económicos de la finca. Los resultados indican que las fincas cafetaleras son muy complejas, que las familias tienen una alta dependencia del cultivo de café; pero tienen pequeñas áreas dedicadas a otros cultivos, aunque sin mayor aplicación tecnológica y cuya producción se destina mayormente al autoconsumo familiar. Este trabajo se realizó con el objetivo de tipificar las fincas cacaoteras en la subcuenca media del río Huayabamba, distrito de Huicungo (San Martín, Perú). Se trabajó con la Cooperativa Agraria Cacaotera ACOPAGRO con una población de 332 productores y de la que se tomó una muestra (n=77) para hacer una encuesta que consideró 6 componentes (familiar, recursos naturales, actividad agrícola, económico, tecnológico y de gestión, social). Se encontró que las fincas cacaoteras están agrupadas en tres tipos, significativamente diferenciados entre sí. Cocoa production is the livelihood of plenty of smallholders, particularly in developing countries such as Peru, where the production of Theobroma cacao has a social and economic impact. However, one of the most important problems in cocoa production is the low productivity caused by the aging of the cacao trees. In this context, we carried out an experiment to evaluate the response of CCN 51, VRAE 99, VRAE 15 and Porcelana genotypes to rehabilitation pruning. The pruning was done at one meter above the ground during the month of February in the district of Vizcatán del Ene (Satipo). On overall, the results pointed out that CCN 51 and VRAE 99 presented greater number, length and diameter of buds; they also showed greater number of nodes, length of internodes, length and width of leaves and fresh and dry matter than Porcelana (p ≤ 0.05). Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a widely cultivated fruit in tropical countries. However, its natural flowering (NF) is a physiological event that can make harvesting difficult, bringing with it financial problems. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the effect of Aviglycine (AVG) on the flowering of pineapple cv. ‘MD2’ in the central jungle of Peru. Three doses (150 mg/L, 250 mg/L, and 350 mg/L) of AVG (commercial product ReTain 15%) were studied with six and eleven applications. The results confirmed the appearance of NF under Satipo conditions. La presencia de malezas en el cultivo de "café" Coffea arabica (Rubiaceae) es uno de los factores que limitan su sustentabilidad. Por ello, estudios en florística y ecología son necesarios para el diseño de programas de manejo integrado. Este trabajo de investigación se realizó entre abril de 2017 y abril de 2018, con el objetivo de estudiar el cambio en la cobertura de las malezas asociadas al cultivo de "café" Coffea arabica (Rubiaceae) en la selva central del Perú. Se tomaron muestras de la comunidad de malezas en fincas cafetaleras en los distritos de San Ramón, Pichanaki y Villa Rica, colocando cinco cuadrados (1 m x 1 m), distribuidos aleatoriamente en cada finca. Durante los meses de evaluación, se identificaron taxonómicamente todas las especies encontradas dentro de los cuadrados y se evaluó la cobertura vegetal e índices de diversidad.
