We evaluate the maca antioxidant effect in albino rats to observe its influence in the development of osteoporosis. Twenty five (25) four month female albino rats were used and divided ¡nto five groups. Gl a control group and four sample groups (G2, G3, G4 and G5) were forced to have osteoporosis with heparina 2U / gl every other day for a thrce week period, at the same time they were given antioxidants (G3) and natural products (maca, G4 and soya, GS) where G2 the osteoporosis c( ntrol group. At the end of thi5 period blood and urine samples were taken for the analysis of catalase(CAT) and dismutase super oxide (SOD) to evaluate the antioxidant effect and Hidroxiprolina urine and calcium as indicators in the lose out of calcium (resorbtion osea). The current study is an evaluation of Vitamin A supplement diet in female white mice Balb C53 inoculated with Sarcoma 180. The oral administration of a dose of 200 IU per day of Vitamin A in mice inoculated with sarcoma and divided in two groups, obtained a greater group B (vitamin A supplemented diet) mice survival curve than group A (normal diet) mice survival curve; however more studies are necessary to get a statistical significance. Liver concentration of catalasa was also quantified in three groups of mice: (1) healthy mice with normal diet; (2) sarcoma inoculated mice with normal diet; an (3) sarcoma inoculated mice with vitamin A supplement díet. It showed a significant difference of concentration of catalasa in group 2 in relation to group 1, unlike group 3 in relation to group 1. Se evaluó el efecto antioxidante de Lepidium meyenii walpers (Maca) en ratas albinas para observar su influencia sobre el desarrollo de la osteoporosis. The contribution of lipids in the Total Parental Nutrition (TPN) is given by for long chain fatty acids (LCT) in patients Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital. In the present study compared the plasma levels of carnitine in patients receiving TPN based on long chain and medium chain triacilglicéridos (LCT/MCT) for prolonged time (≥ 7 days). Previously identified carnitine plasma levels in apparently healthy persons and patients with severe hunger and those who receive TPN for more than 20 days. At the end of the study found the following average values of plasma carnitine, expressed in umol / L: 34, 26 for apparently healthy people who are within the normal range, in patients with severe malnutrition (≥ 7 days) 43,27 ; TPN patients based on LCT / TCM (≥ 7 days) 26,68. We are analyzed forty samples of raw milk commercialized at the Callao Market between January and March 2009 using presumptive method for β-lactamics and tetracycline antibiotic residues from IDEX laboratories, to comply with the limits of sensitivity of residues of the FDA. We found 40% of samples tested positive for β-lactamic residues in raw milk. There were no positive outcame to analyze tetracyclines. The results suggest that we should establish policies for legislation, regulation and training and that the NTP 202.001.2003 should be reviewed. The biological control of pests & mites on peruvian agriculture was characterized by the intensive use of chemical pesticides. However, the decrease on yield and the emergence of resistance to pesticides have obligated to farmers to increase chemical pesticide use for plague control. This has caused environmental pollution, benefical insects death, persistence chemicals residues on fruits, acute and chronic toxicity risks, moreover an increase on production costs. The squid (Dosidicus gigas) is a cephalopod mollusk, a source of high quality proteins that is currently underexploited. The objective was to develop the methodology for the elaboration of a pre-cooked pota product, to evaluate the digestibility of the proteins and the shelf life of the product. Methodology: In a descriptive and experimental design, the nutritional technological study was carried out. Two samples of squid each consisting of 5 kg of the mantle, acquired at the Callao Fishing Terminal, were processed and analyzed independently.
