La enfermedad por coronavirus (COVID-19) producida por el reciente coronavirus del síndrome respiratorio agudo severo 2 (SARS-CoV-2), es catalogada como una emergencia de salud pública por sexta vez en la historia por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Al 22 de junio de 2020 existen 8 708 008 casos confirmados de COVID-19 entre 188 países/regiones, con un número de 461 715 muertes, convirtiéndose en una de las pandemias más complejas por su rápida propagación a nivel mundial.

La alarmante situación respecto a la conducta suicida no es indiferente en los estudiantes de medicina, es un tema de interés para evaluar el estado mental y emocional de los estudiantes que están expuestos a un sin fin de perturbaciones mentales propias de la exigencia de la carrera, así como las obligaciones propias de una vida expuesta a diferentes estímulos, en su mayoría negativos, que influyen en su manera de pensar, sentir y actuar.

The pandemic caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) caused by the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a highly contagious disease that represents an emergency worldwide. On May 22, 2020 we counted 4,993,470 confirmed cases and 327,738 deaths among 188 countries/regions, at the same time there already existed 111,698 positive cases and 3,244 deaths in Peru already existed; data that will continue to expand and that places thousands of lives in danger, affecting states, municipalities and public and private institutions. In that regard, stricter measures are being taken with the obligatory quarantine, isolation and social distancing management, which directly affects all activities that involve in person gatherings

La pandemia por el coronavirus del Síndrome Respiratorio Agudo Grave 2 (SARS-CoV-2) que causa la enfermedad Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), es una enfermedad altamente contagiosa que representa una emergencia a nivel mundial. Al 22 de mayo del 2020 se cuenta con 4 993 470 casos confirmados y 327 738 muertes entre 188 países/regiones(1), al mismo tiempo en Perú ya existen 111 698 casos positivos y 3 244 fallecidos(2); datos que seguirán extendiéndose y poniendo en peligro la vida de miles de personas, afectando a estados, municipios e instituciones públicas y privadas; en tal sentido, se están tomando medidas más estrictas en el manejo de la cuarentena, aislamiento y distanciamiento social obligatorio, lo que repercute directamente en todas las actividades que involucren las reuniones presenciales. Background: Breast cancer is an important cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide and represents the second most frequent cause of brain metastases after lung cancer. The aim of this study was to determine the characteristics and outcomes of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients with brain metastasis (BM). Methods: We retrospectively reviewed a cohort of patients diagnosed with TNBC at the "Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplasicas" (period 2000-2014) to evaluate patients who developed BM. Survival rates were assessed by the Kaplan-Meier method, and prognostic factors were identified with the Cox regression analysis. Results: Of a total of 2007 TNBC patients, 193 (9.62%) developed BM.
