The work was developed in the plot Y1 of Institute of Amazonian Research Peruana-IIAP Ucayali, located between latitudes 8 º 22 '31''south latitude and 74 º 34' 35'' west longitude and altitude of 154 m. It has a soil with low fertility Ultisols (organic matter 1.4%, phosphorus 0.4ppm, potassium 25ppm, pH 4.58, high aluminum content of 6 meq/100 g and CIC of 6.72 meq/100 g of soil). The objective was to determine the phenology and fruit yield candid plant of camu camu of 7 years of age from a mixture of seeds, using 5 treatments by the technique of fertigation through a drip irrigation system (RG). Camu camu es una planta nativa de la Amazonía, que destaca por su alto contenido de vitamina C. Está en proceso de domesticación, por el cual se viene desarrollando modelos tecnológicos para lograr su desarrollo en suelos inundables y en tierra firme. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar los efectos de la poda de fructificación combinados con diferentes tipos de defoliación, sobre el comportamiento productivo de plantas adultas de camu camu de 10 años de edad. In order to evaluate the response camu camu’s plants in plantations initial undergoing training pruning, an experiment was installed in EE - IIAP-Ucayali, under a design randomized complete block, with 3 replications, making use of 20 plants per experimental unit. The pruning treatments were performing at different heights from the base of the stem, it was considered T0 [witness without pruning], T1 [pruning to 10 cm from the base], T2 [pruning to 20 cm from the base] and T3 [pruning to 40 cm from the base] in plants of known provenance. The investigation was directed to evaluate the number of shoots, shoot growth, plant height, basal diameter, crown diameter and number of branches. El IIAP, en alianza con el INIA, viene desarrollando un plan de mejoramiento y producción de semilla mejorada del camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia H.B.K Mc Vaugh). Se están evaluando colecciones básicas y pruebas genéticas, con el fin de seleccionar las plantas superiores de acuerdo a caracteres prioritarios como: precocidad, peso de fruto y contenido de ácido ascórbico. En el 2007 se llevó a cabo el ensayo de 108 progenies precoces, bajo un diseño de bloque completo aleatorizado, con 4 repeticiones y 3 plantas medias hermanas por unidad experimental. Por su precocidad y rendimiento de fruta, en un análisis acumulativo de largo plazo (2007-2012), se vienen seleccionando las plantas a nivel de progenies e individuos. The aim was to verify the initial development of camu camu plants with different organic substrates in conventional nursery bedding microsprinkler irrigation and shade management Chromatine® mesh with 50% red light. We used genetic material from mother plants Germplasm Bank of INIA-camu camu Iquitos, seeds were germinated in decomposed sawdust and kept for a period of 40 days after subculturing was performed with 10 cm in height in different substrates according treatments in nursery beds with dimensions of 1.20 m wide x 10 m long with a depth of 30 cm. After conducting assessments of height (cm) and basal diameter (mm) for a period of 120 days, it was found that the substrate manure has become the substrate for greater efficiency in plant development camu camu substrate followed by humus worm.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different doses of nitrogen (N), applied via fertirrigation, on the initial growth components of the camu-camu plants. It was conducted with the use of a randomized block experimental design with 5 treatments: 0; 40; 80; 120 and 160 kg ha-1 of N, eight replicates and seven plants per experimental parcel. The experiment lasted for a period of 270 days. The diameter of stem (mm) and the height of the plant (cm) were evaluated every 30 days and the number of branches and total length of branches (cm) were evaluated every 90 days. At the end of the experiment, chlorophyll a index, dry mass of the leaves (g), dry mass of the branches (g), dry mass of the roots (g), total dry mass (g), and the Dickson Quality Index (DQI) were evaluated. Camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia) is a fruit species native to the Amazon and its economic importance is proven because the fruit contains high content of ascorbic acid. The objective of this work was to evaluate the germination and vigor of seedlings obtained from seeds of different sizes of two camu-camu populations. The experimental design was completely randomized in a factorial scheme of 2 x 3 (two provenances river Anauá and river Urubu and three seed sizes, small, medium and large) with 5 replicates of 20 seeds per plot. The seeds of the origin of the Anauá river presented higher mass (1.46 g) compared to the origin of the Urubu river (0.78 g). The camu camu (Myrciaria dubia) is possibly the most important amazonian fruit for its nutraceutical potential, with an ascorbic acid content higher than that of citrus in about 20 times. To evaluate the efficiency of grafting by terminal scion, buds rods were collected from 43 plants selected for high fruit yield, coming from Loreto, Peruvian Amazon, which were grafted onto rootstocks of Roraima, Brazil developed in the experimental nursery of the EMBRAPA, Boa Vista. 215 grafts were performed (five per each selected plant) grown in individual pots with sandy substrate fertilized with nutrient solution. In South America, o camu-camu has been domesticated, however, for its cultivation there is still little technical information to guarantee its adaptability and productivity in places with a well-defined dry season. The objective of this study was to characterize the spatial distribution of the root system and determine the effective depth (EP) of roots in camu-camu plants with and without mulch (WM) in uplands conditions. In an orchard, 3 plants with 3, 5 and 7 years each were chosen at random. Then mulch composed of grass (Trachypogon plumosus) was placed on a plant of each age in the canopy projection. It is noted for its high concentration of ascorbic acid, however this feature varies widely from one location to another due to genetic and environmental factors. In order to determine the relationship between mineral nutrients and the concentration of ascorbic acid in camu-camu plants, a study was conducted in three camu-camu producing areas in flood-prone soils and soils on dry land conditions in the Ucayali Region. For this purpose, soil samples and camu-camu were collected. The content of following macronutrients was analyzed: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium; also was determined the concentration of aluminum, pH, organic matter and ascorbic acid.
