This commentary focuses on the importance that DNA sequence analysis has in biodiversity studies and the need for improving administrative procedures regarding biodiversity research in Peru. Given the rapid loss of biodiversity and natural resources in many areas of Peru, research aimed at identifying, characterizing, and describing biodiversity is a priority for developing appropriate conservation and mitigation strategies. For cur-rent and future research on Peruvian biodiversity and conservation, we emphasize the importance of using an integrative taxonomy approach, including the study of evolutionary processes associated with areas of high biodiversity and endemism. Additionally, it is essential that governmental institutions responsible for review-ing permit applications and research plans, focusing on biodiversity research in Peru, recognize and support studies that incorporate an ...

The research explains why factors such as the level of family assets, infrastructure, education and distance to the capital district determine financial inclusion in the districts of Peru. Based on this objective, a descriptive analysis was performed on the relationship between the variables and the approximation on the inferential analysis: estimation using Ordinary Least Squares of a cross section with data up to December 2015.The results show a positive relationship between the factors, with the exception of distance, which could be explained by a concentration in the provision of financial services. Whereas, a large portion of the financial inclusion at the district level would be explained by other components.By identifying these other components, a broader multidimensional definition of financial inclusion was outlined, approaching the issue from a dynamic and evolutionary perspect...

This study uncovers how university libraries contribute to research processes conducted at universities. To do so, a bibliometric and systematic analysis of the literature is presented. The review shows that the line of research on university libraries and their contribution to research is a fragmented field in constant development, with a marked tendency toward the use of qualitative methods and case studies. The original value of this work lies in the creation of a thematic map and a thematic-temporal evolutionary scheme that allows us to understand the main perspectives from which the role of libraries in supporting research activities has been approached. Three time periods that reflect different terms in the conceptualisation of the library are characterised. The study concludes with recommendations, including indications for future research that should consider larger and more dive...

Social innovation is recognized by multilateral organizations as a way to cope creatively and collaboratively with social demands that are not satisfied, neither from the public nor from the private. This challenge requires management reliable relationship between actors with diverse and sometimes conflicting interests. In this sense, the social function of public relations (PR) can provide an important service to prevent resistance to social changes that involve innovation processes. The literature consulted shows that theorizations on social innovation, recommend cultivating relational capital and theories and models PR provide methods and techniques to reliably achieve said capital. A documentary investigation and a case study based on the participatory-action-research that is the basis of a theoretical prot-model ofintervention of reliable PR in social innovation processes. It’s a ...

The evolutionary process of the SARS-CoV2 disease identified as COVID-19, is related to the oral cavity and the high percentage of pathogenicity in the throat the first 5-6 days. The transmission of the virus takes place through the inhalation of nanoparticles from the air through expectorations, sneezing or saliva, with high viral loads in infected individuals as well as in infected asymptomatic patients; oral transmission of SARS_CoV2 being at high risk. The proposal of the use of mouthwashes in preventive dentistry is to inactivate or decrease the viral load of SARS-CoV2 in the oral cavity of infected patients and reduce its transmission at the time of receiving dental care. The purpose of this article is to assess and know the best alternative to mouthwash through scientific research this year. Con...

Agricultural production of Citrus x limon (lemon) and Mangifera indica (mango) in the Piura region is often affected by environmental-climatic factors, mainly by possible seasonal changes or extreme weather events, such as droughts or El Niño. The objective is to analyze the spatial-temporal agricultural production of lemon and mango, measuring with the FieldSpec4 spectroradiometer, the spectral signature (SF) and Sentinel 2 satellite images (ISS2) of the Chulucanas criollo mango in crops of Pampa Larga-Alvarados-Suyo-Ayabaca and INIA-Hualtaco-Tambogrande-Piura mango germplasm bank, respectively. The method consists of entering each EF in the ISS2 (2019) mosaic of tiles 17MMR-17MNR-17MPR-17MMQ-17MNQ-17MPQ-17MMP-17MMP-17MNP-17MPP, using SEN2COR280 in SNAP software. The time series of monthly/annual production of lemon and mango were analyzed using data from INEI and SIEA-MIDAGRI-PERU. Th...

At present, the consideration of knowledge as scientific or not, is the result of applying conventional character criteria established by men in a subjective and sometimes arbitrary way. As mentioned by Montes (2006), the canons of science are effective space-time, the criteria at a time or place can be described as scientific, in another time or place can be metaphysical. The aim of this scientific article is to know the elements or components of a science, which have been deducted from the literature reviewed, carefully observing the different definitions of science that every school of thought says. This shows the evolutionary process of science, as a result of the different schools of thought exist, which according to their view, could raise awareness of different ways of understanding the nature, phenomena, reality, etc., precisely because using the method of obtaining scientific kn...

Internationalization is not a simple decision but rather a complex strategy that requires the presence of tangible and intangible resources that, in the case of a family firm, call for careful analysis. To understand this process, the present study reconstructs the historical trajectories of two important Argentine laboratories, Bagó and Sidus, in historical perspective, using the stage approach of the Uppsala school (U-model) and the perspective of resources and capacities (resource-based view). The findings suggest that internationalization took place in evolutionary stages, with prior construction of intangible assets on the local market.

"Spongy cardiomyopathy" or noncompaction heart disease is a rare congenital cardiomyopathy of unknown etiology which results from a failure in embryogenesis in the evolutionary process of normal myocardial trabeculation. The characteristic echocardiographic findings of this disease consist of multiple myocardial trabeculations and deep intertrabecular recesses that communicate with the left or right ventricular cavity or both. We present a case of this cardiomyopathy that affects the right ventricle, in a fetus of 31 weeks gestation, whose mother was an asymptomatic carrier of said pathology. Prenatal ultrasound images are presented, including evaluation using the strain (myocardial deformation) technique, emphasizing the importance of the patient’s medical history, possible etiologies and differential diagnosis with other entities.

The population dynamics of organisms are strongly influenced by life-history strategies that result from the optimal allocation of energy to vital functions such as growth, reproduction, and survival. These strategies, characterized by phenotypic traits, emerge as evolutionary adaptations to specific ecological conditions and define functional trade-offs relevant facing biotic and abiotic pressures. The aim of this study is to examine the link between life history and population dynamics from a bioenergetic perspective, articulating individual and population-level processes through mathematical models that capture adaptive decisions in simulated environments described in terms of constant, decreasing, and periodic resource availability over time. Using a discrete-time mathematical model with two state variables, internal energy and survival probability, energy allocation toward reproduct...

Geometric morphometry of 42 equine skulls from different domestic breeds was used. A digital photograph of the dorsal plane of each skull was obtained, on which were placed seven craniometric landmarks, involving both the neuro and the splanchnocranium. It is verified that the ontogenic process of domestic equids conforms to the CREA rule (Cranial Evolutionary Allometric), by which there is a common allometric pattern among taxa of mammals, by which the smaller species would have shorter faces and skulls wider than larger species. A dolichoprosopy correlated with dolichocephaly is accepted, or in other words, a facial hypermorphosis (since the facial width also has a behavior similar to that of the length of the face) parallel to the increase in the size of the head for domestic equids.

Artificial intelligence is an area that tries to equip the machines with intelligence and among the topics developed are expert systems, fuzzy logic, planning systems, search algorithms, evolutionary computation, artificial neural networks among others. The topics of artificial intelligence used in this article are artificial vision and artificial neural networks; also uses the microbot or mobile robot Mindstorms NXT, which has a limited capacity in the processing, as well as in the storage of information. The limitation of the mobile robot is because it does not have a powerful computer on board to process artificial vision algorithms and artificial neural networks; so an external computer is used to perform its control through bluetooth technology. The processing of artificial vision algorithms and artificial neural networks is done on the external computer and the actions performed by...
