The objective of this work was to evaluate the physiological quality and oil and protein content of soybean seeds harvested in different stages of plant development and different periods of harvest delay. The cultivar studied was BRS Valiosa RR and the experimental design was of randomized blocks with three replications. Eleven treatments were established, constituting different times of harvest in the following stages: R5,1, R5,3, R5,5, R6, R7,1, R7,3, R8,1, R9, R9+10days, R9+20 days and R9+30 days. The anticipation of the harvest was made possible through the application in predetermined stages, of herbicide Diquat (400 g ha-1) with manual coastal spray with nozzle "type fan" set to volume of 300 L ha-1. Se realizó la investigación sobre el crecimiento experimental de Oreochromis aureus a diferentes fotoperiodo en sistema cerrado en Trujillo, Perú en el Laboratorio de Acuicultura de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. Se adquirió semilla del Módulo La Balsa y se evaluó el crecimiento experimental de O. aureus con tres tratamientos de fotoperiodo T1-24:0, T2-12:12 y T3- fotoperiodo natural en sistema cerrado indoor. El crecimiento en longitud y peso promedio de la tilapia fue de 106,28 mm y 23,18 g en T1, en T2 102,69 mm y 21,55 g y T3 102,69 mm y 21,55 g en 128 días de crianza. Se concluye que el crecimiento de O. aureus fue ligeramente mayor en el fotoperiodo del T1- 24:0 sin presentar diferencias significativas en los tratamientos.

The purpose of the study was to characterize the production of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in the province of Chincheros, Apurímac. Interviews were done to 85% of the producers (n=21) through a survey between November and December 2017. In general, 85.7% of the respondents were over 40 years old, where 42.9% had complete secondary education. The two main activities developed by the producers were agriculture (38.0%) and trout farming (33.3%). More than 50% produced more than three tons of trout per year. The pools were constructed with soil and cement (38.0%), the water supply was mainly from springs (85.7%). This paper describes the methodology used for the culture of Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas in an artisanal breeding pond in the La Arena acuicola center, in Casma. Reproducers at gonadal maturity phase from the culture lines of the center were used. They were prepared in fiber glass tanksi of 1000 L capacity with unfiltered sea water at 27 ± 0,9 oC, and fed with maize fecula and microalgae collected from site. In one group spawning was induced by thermal stimulation (30 to 31 oC), in the other one hydrogen peroxide was added, obtaining different responses. 20 minutes after fertilization the polar body was defined in 100% of fertilized eggs; veliger larvae were visible 24 hours after fertilization. Transgenic seeds: A bioethics debate? The aim of this paper is to analyze, from a bioethical perspective, the social, cultural, environmental and moral impacts of the use of biotechnology for breeding transgenic crops. We place greater emphasis with regard to the use of transgenic seeds in agriculture, and their advantages and disadvantages compared to traditional crops. Transgenic crops are genetically modified organisms (GMO). There have been two antagonistic views about transgenic crops only due to its definition. We address the issue of transgenic seeds presenting these two views, and make a bioethical analysis that allows us to make a synthesis that may set what could be the most appropriate standing on this issue in light of bioethical principles.

Quinoa is a healthy food that possesses high levels of protein that is enriched for dietary essential amino acids. The crop is highly diverse and well-adapted to changing climatic conditions. In spite of being vulnerable to pests and diseases, the development of new resistant varieties is possible. Taking advantage of this genetic variability is crucial for breeding programs, especially to adapt quinoa to the shifting needs of producers. In this study, 25 Peruvian accessions and two commercial varieties were characterized and agronomically evaluated in the Peruvian Pacific desert. Continual removal of phosphorus (P) by the crop gradually decreases soil fertility and drives the need for fertilizer inputs for agricultural production. Phytate is considered as the major storage pool for P in the seeds, but its contribution to human nutrition is low. The objective of this study was to characterize quantitative P concentrations (phytate, inorganic P and total P) of 50 native maize genotypes of Zea mays L. of the Patzcuaro lake, Michoacan, Mexico. The average total P and phytate concentration observed across all the genotypes was 3,1, 2,64, and 0,43 mg g-1, respectively. The relationship between phytate and total P was strong (r= 0,98**). This clearly suggests that with an increase in total P there is a corresponding increase in phytate concentration. During corn storage, significant losses occur due to pest attacks, especially the weevil, Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky. This study aimed to evaluate the feeding preference of Sitophilus zeamais on seeds of stored corn genotypes. The study was based on the influential factors in the agricultural development of the native community of Centro Arenal, District of Punchana. The objective was to determine and analyze the environmental, economic and social factors. The method of observation, descriptive, non-experimental research design (cross-sectional) was used. 40 agricultural producers in the community were surveyed with questionnaires prepared by the thesis student and validated by three specialists.
