Recent research supports the fact that many of the dye-type food additives used in the food industry, far from satisfying the organoleptic requirements of the population; greatly reduce the health of those who consume it; such is the case of red 40 widely used in Peru. Based on what has been described, this research focused on determining the cytotoxic effect of red food dye 40 in Artemia salina nauplii. For this, a nauplos incubation system was installed, to then be exposed to different concentrations of the dye under study, forming the treatments: T0: 0.00 (mg / L), T1: 3.125 mg / L, T2: 15.625 mg / L and T3: 31.25 mg / L and finally measure their morta- lity after 48 hours. The results showed that T0 had a 0% lethality, T1 had a 60% lethality, T2 a 100% lethality and T3 a 100% lethality. It is concluded that the red food dye 40 presented a cytotoxic effect and hyperactivity in locomot...

It is indisputable, the role that flora and particularly medicinal plants play in improving the quality of life of the world population. In Peru, knowledge about plants and their applications has been transmitted throughout history and today constitutes a legacy inherited by the Andean-Amazon communities, which are possessors of an exceptional, unique and promising flora; and unfortu- nately these traditions are gradually being lost, especially due to demographic expansion. Based on what has been described, this research aims to determine the importance of the promising medicinal flora of Jesus, Cajamarca, Peru. For this, 96 semi-structured interviews were applied, using the “snowball” technique, in order to collect data regarding taxonomic characters: family, scientific and common name, as well as ethnomedical characters: part used, type of preparation, method of administration, tre...

The study was performed in order to identify the feasibility of operating a demonstration module production seed Nile tilapia in La Libertad. They told rearing tanks with aeration system and water recirculation supplemented with probiotic administration. Brood fish were acquired in Moyobamba, San Martin and after receipt underwent a selection process based on morphological characteristics that offer advantage for meat production. In breeding adults was established relationship female male 3: 1. They were examined periodically females to collect eggs or larvae in their mouth for handling in artisanal incubators. They were evaluated the physical and chemical variables units incubation and breeding for the purpose of monitoring and control of water quality observing demonstration module temperature levels of 16.6 and 29 °C without the survival of being affected species. The highest frequen...
