The objective was to evaluate the effect of the application of the GeoGebra software on the problem-solving skills of two-dimensional geometric figures in a sample of 53 university students distributed in two groups (control -experimental) evaluated in two moments: before and after the intervention. . Parametric tests were used to compare independent and related pairs and nonparametric tests were used to compare between classification levels. The results showed that the post-test experimental group was the one that presented the best performance, demonstrating that the use of GeoGebra software improved the solving skills of this type of mathematical problems, promoting collaborative work, social-student integration and improvement of the classroom climate. It is recommended to extend the use of this tool with other applications that help the teaching-learning process.

The study addressed the difficulties faced by fourth-cycle primary school students in public educational institutions in the district of Ccatca, Cusco region, in solving mathematical problems. These difficulties were attributed to the limited use of effective strategies and heuristic techniques by teachers. The main objective is to analyze the impact of applying these strategies on student performance and to propose a pedagogical model based on empirical evidence. A heuristic strategy was applied in an applied study with a pre-experimental design, involving 131 students. En su realización se empleó el método experimental con un diseño cuasi experimental con grupo control. Research of pre experimental type. The present research aimed to identify significant differences between pre and post test moments after an application of a program of scientific experiences in a sample of 20 children of 5 years old from preschool level of the Breña distric (capital of Lima). For this purpose, an instrument was developed to measure the observation and problem solving components. For treatment were developed 20 sessions of scientific experiences with focus on discovery learning. The findings corroborated that there was a significant improvement in research ability and in its three components; with significance less than 0.05. From descriptive results, a higher benefit was demonstrated in problem solving dimension reflected in its measuring ranges.

En educación básica regular, la mayoría de estudiantes evidencian dificultades para desarrollar sus competencias matemáticas, sobre todo en educación secundaria. En este marco situacional se llevó a cabo una investigación con el objetivo de proponer un programa educativo basado en la herramienta digital GeoGebra para la mejora de la resolución de problemas de forma, movimiento y localización.
