In this paper, we propose an optimization model for medical services processes to reduce waiting time using process mining. In medical services, there is a high percentage of dissatisfaction with medical care due to the processes related to appointment booking and waiting time for medical consultation. As a result, patients change medical services due to the urgency of the symptoms they suffer, generating distrust in health services in Peru. Through a medical information system, events of medical care processes are collected for analysis using the Celonis tool. The process mining discipline uses the discovery of the study process to identify existing bottlenecks in the process and violations that are included when monitoring process events. The proposed model is based on identifying the existing bottlenecks in the processes, which are appointment booking and office care, as these process...

In this paper, we present a novel system that combines process discovery and conformance checking to optimize resource usage in the operations area of banking companies. Our proposed system improves upon previous solutions by integrating real-time process mining techniques to reduce resource consumption in banking operations. The use of real-time process mining techniques in the proposed system enables faster error identification in processes, emphasizing the importance of such techniques for banking companies. The system is comprised of two integrated process mining techniques, as reported in existing literature. Process discovery involves two key components: dataset generation and process visualization. Additionally, compliance checking involves process monitoring, alerts, and reports. To validate the effectiveness of our system, we conducted a stress test, which was evaluated by exper...

The coffee industry, coffee shops and restaurants are in constant expansion and growth. Consequently, large amounts of Spent Coffee Grounds (SCG) are generated, which are solid coffee residues obtained after the ground coffee leaching process. This residue can be reused because of its compounds as phenolics. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of extraction time (30-90 min) assisted by ultrasound (45kHz and 50 W), liquid-solid ratio (10-40 ml/g) and ethanol concentration (20-93.8%) in the total phenolic compounds (CFT) content expressed as mg gallic acid/g SCG dry matter. Surface response methodology (MSR) was used, as an efficient technique that minimizes the number of experiments, through the central rotational compound design (DCCR) to determine the effect of these 3 factors and to perform the optimization of the extraction process conditions of total phenoli...

Hiring processes are intended to recruit and retain ideal candidates; those who would generate competitive value in an organization. In an increasingly global context, the challenge is often costly, inefficient, and complex. Even though artificial intelligence already solves specific tasks with greater speed, precision, and efficiency in various fields, and in different companies, in the area of human resources the desirability of the use of data science continues to be debated. By reviewing cases and research, in which the integration of artificial intelligence applications in the selection processes was tested, measuring and socializing impacts, I contribute to the current discussion aimed at overcoming the mistrust that exists by default, and that is associated with the ethical challenges and risks t assumed to solve a human problem through technology. I conclude that it is possible t...

The research involved two stages: In the first one, screening methodology was performed toevaluate the effect of the most significant factors: temperature, time and ratio raw material:solvent (MP: S) on the extraction of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and reducing sugars (AR)from yacon flour. A factorial arrangement 2K were used; the levels for the factors were: time5-40 minutes; ratio MP: S 1:10-1:70 g / ml; temperature 30-90 ° C; responses variables wereextraction yield of FOS and AR. The results indicated that only the factor ratio MP: S hadsignificant effect on the extraction of FOS and AR (p-value <0.05). In the next stage, manylevels of ratio MP: S (1:10 to 1: 100 g / ml) were evaluated holding for time 5 minutes andtemperature at 30°C. Maximum extraction and greatest recovery of the extract was obtainedwith ratio MP:S 1:30. Finally, two kinetic models were used to describe the ...

Many construction companies worldwide continue to implement different methodologies to optimize time and improve management in the execution of works; however, a lack of control in projects continues to be observed. For this reason, one of the most common problems currently is the incompletion of scheduled work. Due to this, it is necessary to keep better control of the projects at the execution stage so that the contractor can optimally, quickly, and easily manage the progress of all the specialties involved. In this sense, this research develops the use of the Plan Grid Application for data collection in the field and the Power Bi software for the automatic processing and information visualization through a management dashboard where indicators are shown to reflect the progress and actual performance of the activities as well as the main non-compliance causes, which leads to optimize t...
