Objective: To validate an explanatory model of cognitive functioning in older adults, based on inhibitory control, working memory and processing speed. Method: Explanatory-correlational design. 128 people between 60 and 85 years of age were evaluated with working memory and processing speed tests of the WAIS-IV intelligence scale, Stroop Test and Neuropsi. Results: Two models of structural equation analysis were applied. In model 1, with the total sample, inhibitory control better explains the cognitive functioning in adults aged 60 to 85 years (β=0.22; p<0.538). Model 2, which included age as a control variable, divided the sample into two age groups, and found that processing speed best predicted cognitive functioning in adults aged 60-70 years (β=2.329; p=0.030). but no variable predicted cognitive functioning in adults aged 71 to 85 years. Parenting styles and the type of family functioning have been linked by many experts in the field of drug addiction to the origin of emotional problems. The aim of this study focuses on the perception of drug addicts on patterns of aging parents; and the perception of family functioning between the child and their parents. For this study three groups were formed: a first group consisting of a sample of 107 male drug addicts subjects (mean age 32,38) This group have supplied a questionnaire socio - demographic, the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) and the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES III). This article presents the improvement of the surface coating process with electrostatic painting by manufacturing an LPG batch-type curing oven with a working volume of 20 m³. The structure was manufactured with 3/16” x 2” structural angles, sandwich panels made of 0.6 mm and 1.0 mm galvanized steel sheets and with a 2” thick wool interior as insulation. 6 LPG catalytic infrared burners were used with a total power of 65.4 kW/h, with which the temperature of 180 °C was reached in 20 minutes with maximum load. It is a novel technology that allows human-machine interaction in a virtual or physical environment, through a communication channel between the central nervous system and a robotic device.
