This paper explains the main theses of functionalism about mental states. This view is taken as a response addressed to the metaphysical aspect of the mind-body problem. Thus it is said what distinguishes functional properties as second-order properties, and how to understand supervenience and multiple realizability. The paper applies these ideas to machine functionalism and analytic functionalism, the two main versions of functionalism.

The objective of this research study was to determine the relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students of Foundations of Calculus for the afternoon course of the Faculty of Business at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, 2017. This study was developed within a quantitative approach, with a hypothetical deductive method and non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 76 students of Foundations of Calculus from the Faculty of Business of the aforementioned university. The results show that there is no direct and significant relationship between the motivation of achievement and the resolution of problems with linear functions of the students surveyed. In this work, the well-possednes of a predator-prey model with reaction-diffusion will be studied where the Allee effect in prey reproduction will be included and predation dynamics will be considered a functional response dependent on the species (prey and predator) with the incorporation of the refuge in the dam. In this way, the existence, uniqueness and positivity of the system's solutions as the main result will be guaranteed.

The reasons that have led us to address this problem are cleartaking into account that corruption has a negative impact on consolidation of democracy and governance, also that subverts the guarantees of citi-zens, avoiding the respect for human rights and in civic ethics. Corruption are harmful practices that deserve an appropriate study of the problems and generates the appropriate legal mechanisms to control it. This article aims to analyze the attributions and the legal and administrative nature which has be granted to the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) after the normative change that will play a key role in the correct implementation thereof. This paper explores the generation process of human capital in a dynamic perspective. In order to do so: a) characterizes the recent evolution of human capital, using as proxy the same results panel of participating countries in PISA; b) explores different specifications of the production function of human capital capable of generating dynamic patterns observed; and c) shows the ability of different specifications econometric literature usually employed to correctly detect the structure of the production function. Dyslexia is a disorder in the written use of language due to visuospatial weakness in the perception of linguistic forms. This paper postulates that a possible functional characterization of the deficits of a linguistic nature in patient speakers who present dyslexia when a full acquisition of reading and writing is not yet assumed will favor both the diagnosis and the intervention proposal. To demonstrate this hypothesis, we study the case of two twin patient-speakers who share the diagnosis of dyslexia, with the aim of checking the genetic-hereditary nature of the pathology and proposing specific therapies based on linguistic functional analysis. We thus present the theoretical framework that allows the historical knowledge and definitions offered on this disorder, the difficulties involved in its etiology, and the different models of intervention that currently exist to alleviate it. ...

The purpose of the present paper is to improve the global convergence results established so far concerning the Augmented Lagrangian Algorithm with exponential penalty function for solving nonlinear programming problems with equality and inequality constraints. We prove global convergence for KKT points under the PAKKT-regular constraint qualifications, which results as a consequence that accumulation points generated by the algorithm are PAKKT points. This convergence result is new for the augmented Lagrangian Method based on the exponential penalty function. An interesting consequence is that the estimates of the Lagrange multipliers computed by the method remain bounded in the presence of the quasi-normality condition. Finally we give optimality and feasibility results for the convex case.
