In the last decade the multicore processors had emerged with the comeback of the symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) after a long decade in which the based OpenMPI clusters had dominated the high performace processing world. Actually, we have in the market 2, 4 and 6 multicore processors; the Cell BE processors with a Power Processor Element (PPE) and 8 vectorial processors called Synergistic Processor Element (SPE), and graphics processors which have from 48 to 448 cores dedicated to numerical tasks. In the present work, we show our experience in the interaction with these processors, discussing the programming techniques and the future possibilities for making low cost numerical tasks.

We present examples of fraud in contrast to an ethical conduct in research and publications arising from research. Then, we show the taxonomy in different stages: before, during and after the publication. Style transfer is a natural language processing generation task, it consists of substituting one given writing style for another one. In this work, we seek to perform informal-to-formal style transfers in the English language by using a style transfer model that takes advantage of the GPT-2. This process is shown in our web interface where the user input a informal message by text or voice. Our target audience are students and professionals in the need to improve the quality of their work by formalizing their texts. A style transfer is considered successful when the original semantic meaning of the message is preserved after the independent style has been replaced with a formal one with a high degree of grammatical correctness. This paper presents the first published report of a national-level effort to implement the integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI) strategy at scale. IMCI was introduced in Peru in late 1996, the early implementation phase started in 1997, with the expansion phase starting in 1998. Here we report on a retrospective evaluation designed to describe and analyze the process of taking IMCI to scale in Peru, conducted as one of five studies within the multicountry evaluation of IMCI effectiveness, cost and impact (MCE) coordinated by the World Health Organization. In this paper, the main objective was the preliminary study of the High Speed Rail Line - LIFAVE, included in the Trujillo - Lima section, constituted under an integral approach in its development, which was based on the use of the hierarchical analytical process - PAJ, as a percentage measurement instrument between LIFAVE and road transport (conventional transport). Salvo raras excepciones, la sociedad paracas del valle de Ica ha sido largamente estudiada a partir de materiales descontextualizados, entre los cuales destaca la cerámica recolectada de excavaciones clandestinas de tumbas en la cuenca deOcucaje. A partir del análisis estilístico de estas piezas, que incluyeron también especímenes nasca, se elaboró una hipótesis que suponía un origen nasca a partir de los paracas, expresado en el conocido axioma «transición paracas-nasca». This paper evaluates the role that the external sector plays in the US and Mexican economic structures in the perspective of the integration process as found about the time the North American Free Trade Agreement was signed. Thus the paper pursues finding indicators for the integration levels between these two economies in the 1990's. The method of analysis relies upon the Input-Output model. Results suggest that those economies maintain an asymmetric relationship concerning the nature of their bilateral trade, e.g., the weight of that exchange in the total foreign trade is quite different. Nevertheless, these economies show striking structural similarities, which explain the parallel role that trade plays in each country, despite the obvious differences in the importance of the external sector in each economic structure.

This paper studies the process of state development in Puno through the prefects. This process was marked by two parallel objectives: integration into the Peruvian state and differentiation with Bolivia. Puno was considered a strategic region for the initial state because of its mining production, revenue collection through personal contributions, and status as a border zone. The Prefects, despite the instability and economic precariousness, tried to comply with demanded priorities by the state in the area, resorting to negotiation, suggestion, or opposition. The prefects were more successful in revenue collection and military control, while mining promotion and contraband control had little results.

The Ecuadorian Amazon region is permanently subject to deforestation processes and in parallel to the implementation of agricultural, and livestock management systems that can affect soil quality. This study assessed the effect of different land use types on soil quality using the Integrated Soil Quality Index (SQI) and minimum indicators. To do this, it considers representative soil samples, 4 types of land use, and a productive landscape in the province of Pastaza. The land use types evaluated were sugarcane (SC), agrosilvopastoral System (ASPS) silvopastoral timber system (SSTT), and secondary forest (SF). Land use type had significant effects on some soil properties and, therefore, on soil quality.
