Peru has a surface of 82’369,713 hectares of forestry suitability, 7’600,000 hectares with agriculture farming capacity and a biomass potential for energy generation estimated in 272 million annual metric tons [2]. For energy generation scope, there are four categories: bioenergy crops, agriculture waste, livestock waste and urban solid waste. Gasification technology would be more convenient for the scope of the study. The objective of this research is to explain how labor competencies for public management affect the productivity of the organic units of the Jorge Basadre Provincial Municipality, in 2018. It is a basic type research - quantitative, not experimental, explanatory. In the present investigation, information has been taken from 108 workers, of the total population; A work skills test and a documentary record form were used as an instrument to record productivity data. The content validation was by expert opinion, the test of reliability of the test was performed using the Cronbach's Alpha method, having obtained an alpha indicator of 0.866 points. The results of the labor competencies, report an average of 44.54, according to the scale is in the regular level, the measurement of the indicators reports that 63.9% of those evaluated have a regular level of knowledge, 59.3% with regular skills...

The creation of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) in 2008 seemed to encourage the formation of an alternative regional order to the inter-American system led by the United States. This project emerged in a context characterized by the failure of the FTAA, Brazil's international projection and the strength of South American countries to face the global economic crisis. This article describes the first step in a Teaching Innovation Project in Universidad de Santiago de Chile, which includes the project’s design and the methodological aspects required for its implementation and evaluation. Experts from different academic units will give students real translation assignments (specified in a translation brief) and will consult with them so as to contribute to the development of their thematic translation competence. This project will be implemented in the Specialized Social Science English-Spanish Translation course (4th year) of the Bachelor of Linguistics Applied to Translation degree program during the September 2017 semester. In 1984, in the context of Peru’s internal armed conflict between the Shining Path and the State (1980-2000), Lima’s socialist mayor Alfonso Barrantes Lingán decreed the creation of Huaycán, the first housing project targeting Lima’s poorest residents. Huaycán originated from a shared socialist vision by urbanists and shantytown settlers to address the politics of abandonment by establishing a co-management program between municipal representatives and the population. This article traces the creation of Huaycán, from 1983 to 1985, as a project that emanated from the demands of a new generation of urban residents. The article reveals the tensions derived from within the leftist front, and between the urbanists and shantytown settlers that created the project.

In previous literature, social capital has been hypothesized as a substitute for other forms of capital, such as physical and human capital. This paper contributes to this literature, studying the association between mothers’ access to social capital via participation in community organizations and their children’s nutritional status at 1 and 5 years. Using the Peruvian sample of the Young Lives project, this study suggests that, where human capital is scarce, social capital might have important implications for child development. Maternal social capital is positively associated with height at 1 year old for those children whose mothers have no formal education. No significant association is found at 5 years of age.
