Se busca adaptar la tecnología existente para el algodón comercial al hilado de algodón nativo de color (ANC), que, por su fibra corta, no puede ser procesado industrialmente con la tecnología existente. Así, se ensayó mezclando ANC puro con algodón Tangüis para determinar sus características físicas, como elongación, resistencia y finura de la fibra. Se encontró que una mezcla de 63% de ANC y 37% de algodón Tangüis permite obtener un hilo de características adecuadas para tejer prendas de vestir.

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar el tiempo máximo para recuperar y criopreservar espermatozoides obtenidos de la cola del epidídimo de caninos post orquiectomía. Se obtuvo testículos de 20 caninos entre 1 y 8 años de edad. Los testículos se colocaron en cloruro de sodio al 0.9% y se almacenaron a 5 ºC durante 0, 24, 48 y 72 horas. Los espermatozoides fueron recuperados al cortar la cola del epidídimo en un dilutor en base a Tris-citrato-fructosa. Para el proceso de criopreservación, se añadió yema de huevo (20%) y glicerol (5%) a la muestra diluida (espermatozoides + dilutor). La nueva dilución fue envasada en pajillas de 0.5 ml y sometidas a una curva de enfriamiento para luego ser colocadas en nitrógeno líquido. The present work deals with the proposed treatment scheme for the recovery of PVC and PET using mineral processing operations such as: size reduction. Separation by dense means, alkaline treatment and flotation. The results achieved at the laboratory level indicate that 95% of PVC and 97% of PET can be recovered from the selected sample of plastic containers collected in a residual sector of the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia.

Actualmente, cuando un equipo regresa de alquiler, se somete a una evaluación de daños y faltantes antes de volver a estar disponible para otro cliente.
