The most important advance for global of control cervical cancer is the emergence of prophylactic vaccines against human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 and 18. A new phase starts that changes cervical cancer prevention and control paradigms, whose impact in the reduction in incidence and mortality will be observed by many of us in the next 20 years. The main challenge will be to establish an organized social response according to our physical infrastructure and human resources, our finantial factibility to implement the new technologies in the people and very importantly to consider the need of education and health promotion according to local and regional needs; all this to guarantee one of the main health rights, equity of access to all our population.

Accesible and non accesible underground fires in metal mines may be generated but they are not so frequent as in coal mines. However, metal mine fires generally develop more extensively causing greater losses but with few deaths as compared with coal mine fires. There are many causes of fires in mining operations but those fires in unstable pyrites are more dangenous because of the rapid fine graned sulphyde oxidation in contac with oxigen in air or water. Fires in underground mines may be controlled by flooding of the affected area, suffocation and filling of the area by mud or tailings, this last being the efective way of fire fighting particularly in fires of large extension. The huge amount of work accidents in Peru has not produced the implementation of policies aimed at reducing occupational accidents rates. Not only that, there is a certain passivity with informal business and persons who break the law, even when it creates risks to workers’ lives. Criminal Law is the best example, because criminal rules do not apply in fact. We have a symbolic norm; that means a situation that counteracts the preventive effect of Criminal Law. In other words, the legislator has weakened non-criminal instances excluding punishment even for the most serious behaviors in which workers’ lives are endangered. In this context, compliance programs play a big role in labor risk prevention and, therefore, in the reduction of criminal rates.

Aflatoxins, a group of highly toxic substances produced by certain species of Aspergillus, especially A. flavus, have been found to occur in agricultural products such as corn, peanuts, cotton seed, animal feed, and many varieties of nuts. Experimental studies show that aflatoxins are carcinogenic. This paper proposes a plan of actions to prevent, control and desinfecting products contaminated with aflatoxins. Post harvest treatment of the product involves drying and storage temperature of 5 °C and relative humidity below 80%. The technique of ozone gas to disinfect contaminated products represents the best alternative because does not generate waste, the product is not damaged and the ozone gas is safe.

Notwithstanding advances in medical knowledge and technology, worldwide preterm births’ incidence remains invariable. Known risk conditions like infections, preeclampsia, congenital malformations and cervical incompetence are associated in only 40 to 50% of the cases; in the rest of patients etiology remains unknown. The research addresses the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the well-being of older adults. The problem lies in the lack of digital skills and distrust in technology, which limits its adoption and potential benefits in disease prevention and control. The objective is to determine how the use of ICT influences active aging and disease prevention. A qualitative methodology with an exploratory approach was used, based on focus groups of older adults in Xalapa, Veracruz. Mexico. The results show that, although ICT can improve the quality of life by facilitating communication and access to services, there are challenges such as lack of digital skills and distrust in technology. The conclusions highlight the need for inclusive policies and training to maximize the benefits of ICT in this population group

Objetive: To describe the prevention and control practices for the infection to SARS-COV2 in the Peruvian population. Material and Methods: Observational descriptive study. We evaluated a non-probabilistic sample of adult residents in some departments of Peru. Preventive practices were evaluated in people without a history of COVID-19 and control practices in people who had suffered it. Results: We evaluated 3630 Peruvians (mean age 25.4 ± 9.5), of that 3231 don't have a history of COVID-19 and 399 who had suffered it. This musculoskeletal challenge has seen a surge in prevalence in recent times. The focal point of this study is to conceptualize an ergonomic support system specifically geared towards averting lumbar injuries linked to sedentary habits. Through a comprehensive experiment involving the analysis of existing ergonomic backrests and the subsequent development of a prototype using 3D scanning, design, and manufacturing processes, a solution was crafted.
