El presente Elogio de don Manuel González Prada fue la tesis para el doctorado en Letras, Historia y Filosofía de Luis Alberto Sánchez. Ocho años después publicó Don Manuel, y en 1976, Mito y Realidad de González Prada. Ningún escritor peruano ha ejercido hasta hoy la plural, duradera y profunda influencia que González Prada ejerce sobre la ética, la actitud mental y el primor expresivo de las generaciones posteriores a la guerra del 79.

Este ensayo aborda dos historias simultáneas: la recepción, traducción e interpretación de la lírica alemana por autores peruanos a lo largo de dos siglos, así como la de un encuentro y desencuentro de dos autores fundadores de la literatura nacional, a través de la traducción de un poeta afín a ellos tan libertario y crítico como lo fuera Heinrich Heine. Esa situación develó grandes discordancias que ambos tenían tanto en lo político como en lo literario, aunque quizás sin percatarse de que en ellos había afinidades en cuestiones sobre cómo abordar el trabajo literario, especialmente en lo relativo a la traducción.

En la historia peruana pocos intelectuales tuvieron el temple y el nervio de Manuel González Prada, primer anarquista de nuestra tradición, ensayista polémico, poeta dotado de una visión que trascendió el modernismo hispano, en suma, un hombre de avanzada. Ejercer la ciudadanía hoy en día implica un libre y riguroso ejercicio de conciencia para entender críticamente el entorno. En eso fue también pionero González Prada. Su ejemplo, sin duda, merece superar cualquier frontera temporal. Hemos elegido aquí, de entre su vasta obra, algunos fragmentos que dan una idea de cómo este gran escritor y librepensador peruano canalizó su espíritu crítico. Cualquier coincidencia con la realidad actual es solo eso: coincidencia.

Manuel González Prada (Lima, 1844-1918) is known for his essay production and poetry, as well as for his transcendence in Peruvian political thought. He also explored the narrative and the aphoristics. His book El tonel de Diógenes (The Barrel of Diogenes), published posthumously in 1945, is a clear proof of this. Precisely, a section of El tonel de Diógenes entitled «Memoranda» is made up of more than two hundred aphorisms. Some of his scholars have considered these notes or loose notes useful to unravel González Prada’s ideology. Given that in several of these short texts, the author shares his impressions of poetry, the poet and literary creation, the aim of this paper is to systematize these impressions in order to identify the underlying poetics in those texts, so that links can be established with the rest of his work.

The formation of the identity of collectives is essential for the understanding of their history. Manuel González Prada is one of the most important authors in the definition of Peruvian identity. He denounced the identity composed of prejudices, atavistic fears and submission to the authority inherited from Spanish rule and worked to build a social identity based on science, rebellion and freedom. The purpose of this article is to review the general characteristics of the anecdote and study the use that Manuel González Prada (1848-1918) makes of it from the narratological categories of narrative structure and the functions of the narrator. From this perspective, we propose that the anecdotes of the Peruvian writer not only served him to spread the anarchist ideology in the city of Lima, but also to propose a realistic representation of the society of his time. For this end, we will analyze and comment five anecdotes published in the anarchist weekly newspapers “El libre pensamiento” and “Los parias”.

EThis article presents a comparative perspective of indigenist discourses in two Peruvian thinkers who had a great influence on the Peruvian cultural environment at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th: Manuel Manuel González Prada and Luis E. Valcárcel. The first is representative of an indigenism from an anarchist perspective and the second represents an indigenism of a Marxist nature. Both visions are important to understand the phenomenon of indigenism in Peru.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre Apache OpenOffice y el desarrollo de competencias del área de educación para el trabajo en estudiantes del 2° de la Institución Educativa Manuel Gonzales Prada de Chinche – Yanahuanca. La metodología empleada es el enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica, de diseño no experimental transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 173 estudiantes de la institución educativa. Se utilizó la encuesta como técnica y como instrumento el cuestionario para recopilar la información. En esta investigación se evaluó el uso de los aceleradores biológicos Garlac y EM en el compostaje de residuos orgánicos del mercado Nuestra Señora de Prada – Talavera, con el fin de mejorar la calidad del compost y mejorar la eficiencia del proceso de compostaje, utilizando estiércol de cuy y de vaca como nutrientes complementarios. Este trabajo tiene por objetivo estudiar el verso denominado polirritmo a partir de las reflexiones y de la práctica que desarrollaron Manuel González Prada y Juan Parra del Riego. Dicha práctica, además, se convierte en una propuesta de verso alternativa en el proceso de formación de la práctica del verso libre en el Perú; así, ambos poetas se adhieren al polirritmo con plena conciencia de lo que su uso implica. El marco teórico en el que se sustenta este trabajo se basa en los planteamientos de la versología moderna de Oldrich Belic y en una metodología descriptiva y funcional. Para lograr el propósito del trabajo, se procede a dividirlo en una introducción y dos apartados. En el primero, se estudia el ideario del polirritmo en los dos poeta y en el segundo, se examina un poema de cada autor para identificar sus semejanzas y diferencias.
