In the present study, we will analyze the socioeconomic characteristics of households in relation to the dwellings they occupy in the regions of Arequipa and Piura, based on information from the National Household Survey (ENAHO, INEI, 2004-2017). We have selected these departments because, due to their population concentration and socioeconomic dynamics, they are representative of the housing problem in the country. We also consider that the housing policy through the MiVivienda and Techo Propio programs has had an important development in the regions in the last years, in general the beneficiaries of this last program, oriented to the social sectors C and D, are concentrated in provinces (Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation (MVCS), 2015). From this frame of reference we will address the housing situation in the Arequipa and Piura regions, especially its impact on the qualit...

This article seeks to clarify the positive relationship between the inclusion of informal organizations under a registry that allows the collection of property tax in response to assistance in the delivery of proof of possession for access to basic services. The methodology has been carried out under a non-experimental and descriptive investigation, which has shown a lack of state capacities to prevent invasions. In addition, there is a weakness in the tax collection capacity for a private group already titled and registered, so an attempt is made to solve a social problem alleging the need, but without a planned municipal management that can mitigate basic care such as health, safety and others. from effective tax collection. The figure of the passive subject of the property tax is adjusted to a literal interpretation. However, reality shows that there is an important and considerable m...

This interdisciplinary study evaluates the possibilities of urban adaptation of an arid city, specifically neighborhoods of social housing, in the face of climate change. The city of Piura was selected because it is one of the most representative cases of the effects of climate change in an arid city of the country with problems of water scarcity and it is analyzed: a) its territorial development in relation to water problems, b) the impact of urbanization processes on the urban heat islands of Piura; and c) possible measures for climate adaptation of public space and housing in neighborhoods of social interest. The results on the institutional framework of the planning for the climatic adaptation of this city show more obstacles than opportunities. In both neighborhoods selected case studies are confronted urban design and architecture with "popular" adaptation interventions and the soc...

Every year during winter, inhabitants of the human settlement Ciudad de Gosen (popularly known as Ticlio Chico) of Villa Maria del Triunfo district, have health problems facing a situation of poverty, essentially due to an inappropriate thermal envelope of their home. Thus, it is sought to evaluate Tetra Brik use as the main component for a new type of ceiling, due to high thermal resistance and great accessibility. Three types of Tetra Brik fixings are tested in the laboratory to know their thermal conductivity values (open boxes, closed boxes and closed boxes filled with plastic bags). Laboratory tests are carried out and calculation procedure included in the national EM.110 standard is applied to obtain the thermal transmittance values, comparing them with the values of the existing ceilings and with what it is established in the national regulation. The results show that the thermal ...

The present research aims is to determine the impact that passive heating strategies would have on the thermal comfort of residents in high Andean homes in Sabaino Apurímac, which are characterized by having a cold climate and also being exposed to the problem of frost typical of said places. This research is of a non-experimental design, of a descriptive correlational type and non-probabilistic sampling. Measurements of the thermal variables were carried out in the place of study to analyze the current situation faced in said areas and a survey carried out with 34 specialists in the area to establish which are the most optimal passive heating strategies that would be suitable for high Andean areas to achieve a improvement in thermal comfort in homes. The results show that passive heating strategies would significantly influence the thermal comfort of residents in high Andean homes, lik...

The best criterion to understand the importance of the right to adequate housing or decent housing is its legal foundations. The problem is that a lot of ink has been spilled by lawyers and judges without distinguishing that when it comes to human rights such as decent housing, there are two types of foundations: visible foundations and invisible foundations. The first has to do with the international and national regulatory framework; while the latter have to do with the moral weight that said regulatory framework has. In the present work, the visible foundations are preeminently exposed, and a preliminary outline of the invisible foundations is left.

Throughout the 20th century, the significance and thinking of the modern movement, disseminated by the CIAM, was of great relevance in finding solutions to the new urban problems, based on alternative proposals such as the construction of housing units. Thus, at the end of the 1940s, modern architecture arrived in Lima with the construction of various collective housing projects. The vertical residence pilot was Neighborhood Unit No. 3, and for the horizontal proposal, the Previ Housing Project. In both constructions, not only was a solution provided to the homes internally; It also implied an articulation with public space. Similarly, in the city of Tacna, at the end of the 1950s, a great urban expansion was experienced as a result of the massive migration of inhabitants from other regions of the country. This generated a high demand for residential spaces, which is why public policies ...

The search for sustainable construction systems to address social and environmental problems is increasingly important because there is still a high percentage of deficit in the construction of comfortable homes. This research aims to analyze the proposal of a sustainable construction system of lightened blocks made with plant fibers and clay, applied in the high Andean areas of the central Andes of Peru. For this experimental process, the analysis of the local soil that was used to manufacture the blocks was carried out, resulting in a high percentage of clay, to which plant fibers was incorporated. Then, fifty samples of blocks with different types of dosage were made and ten were selected, which were subjected to physical-mechanical compression resistance tests and compared with what was specified in international and national standards in relation to the units of brickwork. Finally, ...
