The structure of this essay consists of three sections. The first section refers to the historic weaving that has refined the new corrective technologies of the individual. The second section conceives a critical perspective of the school by comparing it with an industry that produces tame students with manipulable moralities. The third section exemplifies how, even in the extended classroom, the restraint and subjectivation devices of these corrective technologies of the student not only continued to manifest but when imbricated with authority in the family context, seem to increase. In addition, all the sections have been sustained in the sense of some critical student and teachers’ perspectives of what was (and still is), exercising their professional practice living those formative processes from the Aprende en Casa strategy. Furthermore, the sensation, maybe shared, of having lost...

In Argentina, since March 2020, face-to-face classes have been suspended throughout the country, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the education system had to adapt to the distance education modality, and the universities were not the exception. In that transition, different problems emerged related to the didactics (organization, planning) but above all, access to ICT (New information and communication technology) and transmedia literacy. The ICT mediated education format deepened existing inequalities, that is, the material, social, educational, cultural, and psychological of family conditions. This article proposes a case study of the annual cathedra at the National University of Salta. It systematized the extended classroom experience in a previous pandemic period, where some tools like Classroom, a blog, and a Facebook page were used and later the use of virtual class...

The article presents a case study of a hybrid classroom experience in a university class of Social Communication in Colombia, in which an affinity space was built through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Using the theories of affinity space (Gee, 2003, 2005, 2017) and connected learning (Ito et al., 2013) and based on qualitative data collected during four iterations of the class “Communication and Interactivity” (2019-2, 2020-1, 2020-2 and 2021-1), the case reflects on the process of building an affinity space and on the design and implementation of a collective blog as a tool for teaching and learning. By analyzing of the contents and interactions created in the affinity space, particularly in the blog, I inquire about the possibilities for innovation offered by designing environments that are production-centered, networked, and that have a shared purpos...

This research is about what the “Aprendo en casa” strategy in Peru in 2020 meant from two of its main resources, radio and television. The objective was to analyze communicationally and evaluate the programs of both media. Thirty-two pieces from all educational levels were discussed, in seven months, with 27 expert communicators, and the experience from 50 target actors of the strategy was evaluated. The study was methodologically naturalistic, with a qualitative approach, indirect hermeneutical and phenomenological typologies, and under an open coding design. Eight categories generated by free will were found to show results on biased content and questionable forms of presentation; gaps were made visible at the educational, digital, and generational levels, and disarticulation between the education and communication axes. Our findings will contribute to improve the design and use of...

This article explores the experiences and learning of university students when participating in different roles (players, actors, and staff) in transmedia games. A case study was carried out at the university that analyzes 9 of the 11 “I love to read” games carried out from 2014 to 2019 to promote reading. The participation in theseevents has been approximately 1048 university students. The results and findings indicate that these games are immersive experiences that generate readiness and diverse learning, arouse interest and benefit the university community. I conclude that they generate a space of intramural affinity and are an effective strategy to promote connected learning.

The situation of mandatory social isolation due to the global COVID-19 pandemic has affected all walks of life, and education has not been the exception. Not only have universities adapted to the new landscape by offering virtual teaching instances, but students have developed collaborative study practices using Smartphones and other digital devices. This article presents the results of a qualitative research that included in-depth interviews with 45 Argentine university students, to investigate the changes that the quarantine has generated in their ways of studying. The findings indicate that students develop complex collaborative study strategies, alternating between texts, audios, and other materials and applications that allow them to study and compensate for the physical absence of their classmates through collaborative work mediated by screens.

Data such as the increase in the number of searches on online platforms, and the multiplication of feminist content pages on social networks, highlight the growing debate on the subject and justify the study’s relevance. The article reports on the development of the feminist movement, from its emergence to the current insurrection, and how it was formed. To this end, it uses bibliographic studies on feminism and the use of virtual space by social movements as a methodology, and the case study of the Brazilian feminist collective Não Me Kahlo. The communication strategies implemented by the museums after the COVID-19 health crisis implied the closure of the institutions to the public. Hence the need to contrast how Ecuador, Spain and Peru acted by highlighting the culture and heritage available to the population. The exploratory study was approached through mixed content analysis. The actions implemented by museums in the context of the pandemic were classified and they categorized, taking into account the type of content and resources deployed to reach the public. Finally, focus was placed on identifying UNESCO’s strategic areas of action. The supranational trend registered changes depending on the situation of each country. In this sense, it was noted that the actions deployed from Spain were in line with international reports. From Ecuador and Peru, the ‘Digital Activities’ and the ‘Activities on Social Networks’ ...
