The present research aims to analyze seven cases of custody dispute verified by a forensic psychologist in a county South of Brazil, where were observed substantial damage and/or alienation in the relationship between child and one of parents. A documentary retrospective study was conducted, which sought the categories most frequently found in each of the cases. It was noted that when one of parents does not accept the separation and remains in custody of children, it is possible this initiates a process of growing apart of the child with the ex spouse, which can cause serious harm to child development. The main damage observed were: aggression, depression, anxiety, use of lies to communicate, rejecting the parent who does not have custody, and even incorporating phrases of the parent who obtained custody as if they were their own.

Strategies for communicating information have undergone many changes, which have been evidenced in the pandemic. The idea is to be able to connect with the student and that the information is received in a clear, timely and relevant manner, so that he/she will have the prior knowledge to integrate information from theory and practice, in order to successfully face the simulated activity, as well as when interacting with the patient. In this context, the inverted classroom is a didactic strategy that provides videos, podcasts, among others, to be reviewed in advance, so that when the student performs the face-to-face or virtual activity, the most important concepts are deepened and clarified, using active participation methodologies to achieve the following objective: Invested learning seeks a change in the dynamics of learning that points to the student as its axis. The objective of this...

The literature of aging explores the deterioration of the human body, while feminist literature explores the problems of gender equality. According to Miguel Sabido (1989) and Albert Bandura (1989), the media, particularly the telenovelas, tend to use stereotypes that portray women and the elderly population negatively. Sabido uses the concepts of education and entertainment to unveil how telenovelas teach societal behavior, allowing a path for social discrimination towards them. Through these concepts, the researchers have demonstrated how the Mexican and Colombian telenovelas negatively portrayed the elderly people, especially women. Such analysis was not done in vain, as it had the purpose of giving agency to the elderly by allowing them to have to power of how they want to be represented in the media.

Public administration, anchored in hierarchies and bureaucracies, demands the decentralization and modernization of activities and tools; therefore, the new information and communication technologies brought about by electronic governance play a crucial role in the analysis and delivery of government results. The purpose of this study was to comprehend the contribution of this governance in local governments through a systematic review of 22 investigations available between 2019 and 2023. This review was conducted using a qualitative approach and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flowchart method. It was identified that regional and local governments within the Public Administration consider physical presence essential for making decisions, communicating information, and correcting failures, with the aim of maintaining government coherence.

Prisoners in Spain also have the right to communicate and freely express their thoughts and ideas. This condition can be a reason to implement media literacy workshops in prisons, using radio as a tool for communication and expression. Even though they are not exempt from institutional control, as they are integrated into the so-called Individualized Penitentiary Treatment Plan, prisoners enhance their social and personal dimensions through these radio experiences, which function as a tool for rehabilitation and recovery. The article uses a qualitative methodology to analyze letters written by prisoners published in a book and interviews with 26 other inmates, all participants in Spanish prison radio programs, to understand their perception of the advantages of carrying out this activity. Through discourse analysis, it is possible to observe how they recognize improvements in their commu...

How should we organize the teaching of the disciplines so that students make epistemic use of the writing tasks they are usually assigned? Among the different ways of teaching academic writing in higher education, this article discusses the interwoven approach, which consists of both teaching the disciplines with writing and teaching to write in an integrated way. We highlight its features and distinguish it from other approaches. We then illustrate it through the collaborative experience developed between an engineering instructor and a writing instructor over 18 months. Our approach contributes to improving the disciplinary instructor’s teaching practice, so that he/she not only assigns and evaluates reading and writing tasks but also teaches how to carry them out; likewise, we try to ensure that writing is used as an epistemic means of crafting disciplinary knowledge, and not only t...

The concept of alexithymia refers to impairments in the ability to identify and communicate feelings. Alexithymia has repeatedly been linked to attachment impairments and different types of symptomatology, in particular, depression and somatic complaints. Very few studies have focused on children or adolescents when addressing this construct. Additionally, to date, there is no self-report questionnaire of alexithymia for such groups in the Spanish language. The main objectives of this study were therefore, (a) to translate and adapt the Alexithymia Questionnaire for Children to Spanish; (b) to assess the factor structure of the adapted questionnaire; and (c) to describe its reliability and validity, in a sample of N = 265 Peruvian adolescents aged 11-18 years. Internal consistency was acceptable for the DIF subscale ( ? = .74), and low for the DDF and EOT subscales ( ? = .55, and ? = .4...

The rise of the digital age has presented a significant challenge for social science research methods to adapt. Among the numerous theoretical and methodological approaches under discussion, this article examine the current situation of studies that use digital ethnography as an approach in Ibero-America. From a bibliometric method the objective is to analyze publications indexed in renowned global and regional databases, such as Scopus, Latindex and Web of Science. The purpose is to identify the approaches, influential figures and conceptual frameworks predominant in this area today. The results reveal that, despite its effectiveness in analyzing digital communities and relationships between users, digital ethnography needs to consolidate its epistemological foundations in the Ibero-American context. A marked use of theoretical contributions from outside the region is observed. However,...

This study investigates the perception of young Spaniards about online sports betting and its advertising. The initiative arises from the recent regulation of commercial communications in this sector in Spain. We reviewed the literature related to the phenomenon and the foundations that gave rise to the regulations. Starting from discussion groups with young people between the ages of 15 and 21, we use advertisements as an impulse to learn about beliefs and perceptions about sports betting, the regulations in force and their advertising. There is a certain lack of concern in the group with the influence of advertising and the health risks of possible addictive behaviors. Studies of this type, we believe, could serve as a reference for future regulatory frameworks in the Latin American region, a territory in which this industry is in full expansion.

This article studies the effectiveness of websites of Chilean deputies as a communication tool. Researchers conduct a content analysis of the entire website of parliamentarians at two moments: 2015 and 2018. A first fact is that only half of the deputies have a website, rejecting its potential as a communication tool for citizens. In addition, none of the 129 websites analyzed, 66 in 2015 and 63 in 2018, is effective in terms of digital communication, underutilizing the informative and dialogical potential of this tool. The article also provides information about the use of Facebook and Twitter by parliamentarians. In the light of the results, the websites of Chilean deputies are used in the old logic of mass communication that includes a sender and a passive public, contradicting the digital democratization that characterizes the communication of the 21st century.
