This article discusses the various meanings attributed to the concept of research methodology, based on an analysis of the study plans and programs of three doctoral programs in education in Mexico. These programs have well-established faculty and have produced several generations of trained students. The article outlines the methodology used to analyze the curricular discourse related to the concept of research methodology, and presents findings that highlight the different interpretations given to key elements of this concept across the three programs. The results reveal nine major attributions of meaning to the concept of research methodology, with varying degrees of similarity across the three programs. This article presents an experience carried out by the faculty of the third year of the Infant Education degree at the Ramon Llull University in Barcelona (Spain). A proposal for multidisciplinary intervention that joins two modules: one for arts (musical, corporal, visual, and plastic education) and another for sciences (mathematics, and experimental and social sciences). The intervention stems from a generating idea—the book “Alice in Wonderland”—which allows for connections between the contents of the modules, involves co-teaching, multidisciplinary work, and shared evaluation experiences. The aim of the study is to get to know the perception of the participating faculty about the changes in the didactic components involved in the experience. This paper examines internal investigations as an essential component of prevention models established under Law 30424 in Peru. Since the implementation of this regulation in 2017, supplemented by its 2019 decree, legal entities are required to adopt compliance programs or prevention models, known as Criminal Compliance, to mitigate the risks of criminal offenses. A key element of these models is the whistleblowing procedure, which includes internal investigations designed to identify crime indicators and ensure the validity of results. The study underscores the need to distinguish internal investigations from criminal investigations. The former are private, voluntary, and focused on organizational learning, while the latter are public, mandatory, and conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office with punitive and legal liability objectives. The systematization of a relevant experience such as the training of 21 in-service teachers with the use of an action-research component was aimed at documenting and writing what happened, as well as explaining the results achieved as a result of the intervention. The aim was to interpret the experience critically, to learn from it and improve future practice. The study used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results suggest that the component favored teachers to question their own beliefs about teaching and strengthen their abilities to make teaching problematic. They also suggest that these changes occur in training events that include spaces for reflection and discussion about beliefs and practices.

El presente estudio tuvo por objeto describir el nivel de inteligencia emocional que presentan los suboficiales en servicio que reciben atención en un centro de salud de la Policía Nacional del Perú. Empleándose para el estudio un diseño descriptivo, donde participaron como muestra 120 suboficiales en actividad, varones y mujeres, de la Policía Nacional del Perú. El instrumento empleado fue el inventario de inteligencia emocional Bar On ICE, para adultos, adaptado y validado en nuestro medio por Ugarriza. The design of educative programs created to develop the middle school students´ skills is a recurrent subject in educational literature. The aim of this article is to find evidences that support an enrichment program oriented to improve motivation and engagement in gifted students. The sample of sixty students (10-12 years old) was taken from a Peruvian middle school. The instrument used in this study were the School Attitude Assessment Survey-Revised (SAAS-R) (Siegle y McCoach, 2005) to measure motivation and a rubric revised by experts to measure engagement. Finally, the results are discussed and some improvements proposal are given.

 This research evaluated the effect of the Armonía program, based on mindfulness, on academic performance and academic stress in students of a higher education institution in Lima, through 8 sessions of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, for 8 weeks. A quasi-experimental design with pre and postest was used, with two groups (experimental and control), both with 25 randomly assigned participants, who had a mean age of 19.82 years. For the measurement of stress, the SISCO SV-21 Inventory was used and for academic performance, the grades of the first and second partials, completed by the teachers, were used. From an action research it is sought to identify the necessary elements to incorporate the psychoeducational approach to the educational management of a Family Residence in the south of Chile. The qualitative techniques of interviews and participatory diagnostic workshop were used to produce data. The results refer to components of the psychoeducational approach such as, their understanding of the relationship helps, the strategies to use the shared experience and the tools of diagnosis, planning and evaluation, positively influence the educational management of the center. Its incorporation requires a systematic and permanent process over time, as well as the confluence of the presence of criteria and conditions for its appropriation as an approach and intervention methodology by the center’s staff.

This article describes the procedure for the implementation of a graphical user interface using the App Designer development environment of the Matlab software and its Toolbox Signal Processing and Symbolic Math, which allowed obtaining the Fourier Series coefficients for seven periodic signals followed by a graphical representation in the domain of time and frequency through pulses. Objective: To validate a survey aimed at measuring satisfaction of residents about a specialization program in Lima, Peru. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried-out. The survey was built considering resident´s opinions on the satisfaction requirements of each program and the five components of the SERVQUAL quality survey. A pilot study was undertaken to evaluate the degree of understanding of the questions and an expert evaluation was also performed before applying the survey. Reliability was evaluated with Cronbach´s alpha test and validity was evaluated with a multifactorial analysis. Descriptive statistics was applied, Chi square test with a p value <0.05 was  used. Results: 218 (82.0%) surveys were analyzed; 54.1% were females; 57.7% were younger than 30 years of age; 86.2% were of free position.
