The work is based on the need of every education professional to become an educational analyst. It summarizes and explains a series of analysis categories that allow educational phenomena to be approached from a cognitive perspective. It starts with a general introduction about cognition and different lines from which it can be addressed. Then the lower and upper cognitive processes are described. It is expected that the typology of processes provided will be a valuable tool for the analysis of teaching situations.

Gamification from the use of platforms in virtual environments, has served for various studies with findings in structural learning. However, there is little evidence in the use of formal gamification platforms that include cognitive conflict from its pedagogical utility. The research has been carried out applying an experimental design with pretest and posttest measurements. We apply two types of cognitive conflict which we call Gamification Packages / Cognitive Packages. We used formal gamifiers (Mural.ly, Mentimeter, Google Jamboard, Kahoot!), applied in three experimental comparison groups of 150 students (M = 13,2 years; SD = 2,03). Reading, math, reasoning, and research science assignments were assessed. The findings reported greater effects in the group that received the Gamification Packages, secondly, the effects of Cognitive Packages,

This research sought to contribute to the knowledge of the differences in the level of development of neuropsychological factors and cognitive processes in children with and without writing difficulties. Similarly, we wanted to see if there was an association between neuropsychological factors and processes involved in writing. Descriptive design was causal comparative, examining 80 children in third through sixth grade, studying in state schools of Callao using EPRE Test (Velarde, Canales, Melendez & Lingán, 2014), Child Neuropsychological Diagnostic Test Luria-DNI Test and Wechsler intelligence: WISC-IV. The results showed significant differences in all neuropsychological factors favoring the group without writing difficulties. Also, no relationship between most neuropsychological factors and psychological processes involved in writing. The instruments demonstrated their validity ...

This research had as objective develop, implement and validate lexicons (write to the dictation of words and sentences to assess mastery of the phonological path and write words to assess the visual route spelling), a program of stimulation of the psychological processes of the writing: syntactic process (ordering and complete words, placing punctuation) and planning of measured Scripture through the construction of a sequence of stories and the drafting of a descriptive and narrative text. The sample was comprised of 111 students in 2nd and 3rd grade primary school (56 of the control group and 55 of the experimental group) of two state educational institutions of Callao. It was observed an increase in all the tasks mentioned except in the drafting of texts and narratives due to time factors. From the result we recommend the dissemination of this programme with the aim of forming student...

The research aimed to determine the differences in the influence of cognitive processes on the intention to segregate solid waste between university women and men. The cognitive processes studied are explained using the theory of protection motivation as a basis. The study sample was 189 students from a public university, stratified into 97 women and 92 men. For inferential statistics, the normality test and simple linear regression analysis were used. The results indicate that there is a significant positive influence of cognitive processes on the intention to segregate. It was also evidenced that, although women show a greater influence, the difference with men is not significant. It is concluded that, although it is important to take into account the difference in the influence of the cognitive processes of women and men when designing segregation programs in universities; apparently,...

This investigation looking for to close a cycle of reading comprehension, because in previous jobs we already have demostrated that cognitive capacities was too fundamental specially en inferential capacity. The general objective propose lectures with the particular inferential strategies, which are a guarantee of reading comprehension. Consistent with this, the stated objectives are: a) Confirming the value of the strategies and the relevant procedures for the processing of information, which is essential for understanding and text production. b) Apply inference strategies in selected texts for students of V and VI Basic Education cycles. c) Propose reading modules with cognitive strategies aimed at inference processes to improve reading comprehension. What we expected was that students in the experimental groups, after application of the proposed modules, achieving greater development ...

The research is a comparative method, transversal. It had the pur¬pose to compare the goals and motivations in choosing a profes¬sional career in 347 students of university first terms in Kinder¬garten Education, Primary Education, and Languages, all of them in a range of 20 to 22 years old. An instrument with three versions was elaborated, based on the theoretical framework proposed by Gámez y Marrero (2003). The evidences confirm significant dif¬ferences in the goals and motivations; these differences are more noticeable between students of the careers of Primary Education and Languages (sig. <.001), and between Kindergarten Education and Languages (sig.<.001). Finally, the goals and motivations were largely differentiated according to the gender (sig.<. 005), being the average for women (prom.=139.3/sig.<.005).

This is a comparative correlational research aimed to investigate the predictability of speed reading and cognitive processes in syntactic and semantic levels when making inferences; also to find their relationships and to compare each with the type of school management and the age in 304 students in 4th and 5th grades in primary school in the districts of Los Olivos, Comas, San Juan de Lurigancho, San Martin de Porres and Carabayllo, located in Lima, Peru. Pruebas de medición de procesos cognitivos de la Batería BECOLE (BECOLE measurement of cognitive processes test) by Galve (2005); prueba evaluación de elaboración inferencial-PELI (PELI assessment of making inferences test) (PELI) by Holguin (2013) and medición de la velocidad lectora temporalizada-METVELO3 (METVELO 3 - reading speed timing measurement); were used. The instruments responded in favor of reliability, content and co...

The investigation shows the results founded in the field of Reading Comprehension. Starting from the theoretic model of cognitive psychology and psycholinguistics, and in particular the theory of Van Dijk and Kintsch (1983, 1993, 1994). The author explores the problematic of comprehensive reading in a group of children and teenagers with learning disabilities in the province of Callao, trying to know how much can they could intervening in the improvement of their reading weakness, for what we have design and application and an Experimental Program of Treatment. The most important idea of the study was the significant difference in reading comprehension levels reached in the pre test and in the post test, by the group I students after applying the experimental program, and as an important improvement in the student group II.

The objective of this research was to meet the standard of performance of students from third to sixth grade of primary education in the constitutional province of Callao in the psychological processes of writing: lexical, syntactic and planning evaluated through testing that, within the framework of this investigation, we drew up, accept and apply in 804 students from third to sixth grade of four socio-economic levels (a-B); C, D and E) of the constitutional province of Callao. We find that the total sample noted difficulties in the performance of the write in all assessed processes, especially in the drafting of narrative texts and in the allocation of punctuation signs a given text. As regards the second objective of the research that was the find if there are differences in the tasks evaluated according to socioeconomic level are differences in processes lexicons all tasks less in th...

At present we observe a vigorous developmental of the cognitive science like a multidisciplinary field that involve several disciplines, such as cognitive psychology, artificial intelligence, linguistics, philosophy, neuroscience, and cognitive anthropology, in order to study the cognition. The study of cognition and mind has been made from a point of view of the speculative philosophy, or from perspective of the philosophy of mind, or from a point of view scientific. The hypothetical and/or theoretical proposals offered from those studies, are discussed and are submitted to experimental analysis, for the purpose to test their scientific validity. Thus, the cognitive science set the essential properties of mind and cognition, such as the representational nature of mind, the causal relation between the cognitive representation and the behavior, the symbolic nature of information mentally ...

In this paper, the processes expressed with verbs of movement in Chanka Quechua, from the Ayacucho area, are briefly presented. Since Quechua is an agglutinative language, the aim of this paper is to analyze the function of suffixes from the semantic point of view. For this purpose, our theoretical framework is based on the contribution of cognitive semantics and on the relationship between semantics and grammar proposed by Moreno Cabrera (2003). The results of this work aim to classify and determine how the suffixes -man, -manta, -kama and -ta act in sentence constructions of movement.

Introduction: The variations of the intentional monitoring carried out by university students on attributes and temporalities of complex learning are analyzed. Objective: to identify the structural relationships between affective and cognitive attributes considered at different times of performance in two tasks of academic skills. Method: intentional sample of 420 students of Higher Education of Mexico and Colombia, of both sexes, answered: a) an inventory of the self-report on variations in attributes and temporal moments in two different tasks and b) two tests, one of comprehension of texts and another of mathematical skills. The theoretical models underlying the assumed academic performance were validated, empirically, through path analysis. Results: high rates of practical fit in all models, which allows identifying differential influences depending on the temporal condition in which...
