This study presents discussions on the importance of promoting interventional actions in the school context, through continuing teacher training involving the STEAM approach, to make the teaching and learning process more attractive and encourage more girls to be interested in STEM areas. For this, a Qualitative Systematic Review was carried out, making it possible to conclude that investing in actions involving the STEAM approach represents a potential for innovating educational practices, as well as supporting the presence of girls in STEM areas.

The systematization of a relevant experience such as the training of 21 in-service teachers with the use of an action-research component was aimed at documenting and writing what happened, as well as explaining the results achieved as a result of the intervention. The aim was to interpret the experience critically, to learn from it and improve future practice. The study used qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results suggest that the component favored teachers to question their own beliefs about teaching and strengthen their abilities to make teaching problematic. They also suggest that these changes occur in training events that include spaces for reflection and discussion about beliefs and practices.

This article is a reflection in three planes: the first one, how teachers problematize their own practices given the complexity of the scenarios that they must face daily in classrooms; the second one, how teaching problematization is perceived in the academic and school world and the third one, hoy many and how contents, methodological tools and training forms, which are necessary to strengthen teachers’ abilities and attitudes prone to problematization, have been assumed by continuous teaching training programs. It is concluded with a joint reflection that tries to establish the link between these planes.

The present article is structured according to two transcendental subjects for the Education in Peru: One is the approach of the investigation-action within the framework of the theories about the practice of the educational function, and the other is the investigation-action as a strategy of learning in the formation of the teaching staff. The investigation process-action constitutes a continuous process, a spiral, in which the moments of problem, diagnosis, design of a change proposal, application of the proposal and evaluation take place, to reinitiate a new circuit beginning with a new problematic situation. This type of investigation acquires a great importance in our educative field because it helps to surpass the binomials of theory-practice; educator-investigator; and thus it makes possible to unify theory and practice. In such sense, it is necessary that the educational investig...

OBJECTIVE: To know characteristics of multiple pregnancies and to determine benefits of early diagnosis, prenatal control and continuous prenatal assessment to decrease perinatal morbidity and mortality in pregnant women at Loayza Hospital. DESIGN: Descriptive and retrospective study of multiple gestations occurred during 1,997. RESULTS: In 42 multiple pregnancies (39 twins - 3 triplets; incidence: 1: 125 and 1: 1,625) with maternal ages from 17 to 42 years old, 73,8% (31) bad good prenatal controls; 90,5% got ultrasound diagnosis during prenatal control, before 28 weeks in 61,9% (26 patients); 42,9% of pregnancies reached term and the most frequent pathologies were anemia, preeclampsia, disminishing the chance of preterm labor in comparison with previous studies. Abdominal delivery was 76,2% because of an abnormal fetal position (44,8%), severe preeclampsia (20,7%) and previous cesarean...

In all mining operations, a reconciliation system is necessary, which allows measuring the performance of the processes involved in obtaining the final product, from the reserve-resource models, through mine design, mine planning, mining production, until culminating in the metallurgical process. It is through the relationship between the ore received (ground ore) with the ore sent to grinding (short-term model), that reconciliation factors will result for tonnage, grade and metal. Subsequently, they will be evaluated in a monthly, quarterly and / or annual period of time, and will help to refine the processes and sub-processes of the short-term model, as well as the mining process and the metallurgical process. The results will be reflected in the reduction of the differences in the reconciliation factors for tonnage, grade and metal, this reduction must be supported over time; In other...

The demand for natural resources and energy continues to growin the developed world and, with it, the negative impacts on the environment and the rights of the peoples directly affected by extractive activities undertaken by the largest transnational corporations. Three factors compel victims of serious environmental damage to resort simultaneously to any available avenue of legal action (whether judicial or non-judicial, national or international): (1) the link between environmental damage and human rights abuses; (2) weak legislation, combined with the inability or unwillingness of the law-enforcing institutions in many countries where such extractive activities take place; and (3) the absence of international avenues to claim direct liability from corporations. We call this phenomenon intertwined actions, as the various judicial actions undertaken by the victims end up mutually reinf...

The criminal action’s prescription suspension arises from the configuration of an obstacle that turns the criminal prosecution procedure impossible to continue, as it follows from the Criminal Code, article 84, first paragraph. Before this norm’s modification by Law N.° 31751, atypical moment of termination was expressly established. However, it is after this that, through its new second paragraph, the controversy about the duration of the suspension term due to contumacy and extradition processes came to an end, imposing a one-year legal material term for this purpose.

The objective was to analyze the processes of organization, action, leadership and perspectives of peasant communities in Peru, specifically in Junín, period 1959-2017, under a qualitative methodological approach, narrative-historical design. It is evident that in the 50s-60s of the 20th century, peasant organizations focused on the land problem with the estates, on the implementation of the pilot plan for agrarian reform and the founding of a communal university. Between 1969-1980, they were part of the structure of the Agricultural Societies of Social Interest, implemented by the agrarian reform of 1969. From 1980 and the end of the 90s, overwhelmed by political violence, the Peasant Rounds were formed, especially to confront the authoritarianism and Shining Path terrorism. In the 21st century, many communities continue the fight for territory with extractive companies (mining, hydroc...

Between March and May 2020, as cities responded to Covid-19 globally, Quito entered a phase of quarantine that immobilized the city’s public transport system. In this context, this article focuses on how informal transport services continued to operate on the peripheries to provide a mobility service in absence of public transport. The article asks: What did informal transport services such as taxirrutas do during the Covid-19 pandemic? Based on 31 interviews with taxirruta drivers, the article highlights how the sector was characterized by immutability. That is, companies did not change their routes or increase trip prices. The category of immutability, necessarily implies that invisible dynamics like adaptation and maintenance are a requisite for the sector to function without alteration. This article uncovers the strategies and tactics employed to keep a route in motion, which invol...

Polyphenols are compounds of secondary metabolism in plants and their action is recognized in the control against free radicals and reactive oxygen species. Th e study aimed to indicate polyphenols and their intake in fruits and vegetables as a protective action for human health due to stress against Covid-19. Given the rapid spread of the emerging pandemic Covid-19, it continues to be of great concern due to the mortality that occurs globally and there is no doubt about the level of stress in the population. Attempts to fl atten the epidemiological curve are diverse in that Covid-19 could not only aff ect psycho-mentally, but some non-communicable diseases may perhaps debut. Considering the serious situation, from the axiological point of view, a question arises: can the daily consumption of fruits and vegetables in the diet patterns generate, from the metabolic point of view, any poten...
