The aim of this research was to identify the levels of reading comprehension, the use of strategies and the motivation towards reading, and to relate them to different sociodemographic and academic variables, in students of the Biology career of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Campus Iztacala. La comprensión lectora en inglés es una problemática significativa en el Perú. Sin esta habilidad, los estudiantes no logran aprender inglés correctamente ya que la comprensión es fundamental para la adquisición del idioma. Es por ello que se propuso el diseño y la aplicación del conjunto de actividades llamado “Read and Learn” basado en la teoría del “Directed Reading Thinking Activity” (DRTA) y las estrategias de lectura del nivel literal, inferencial y crítico para mejorar la comprensión lectora en inglés. La investigación advierte que en la entrevista de empleo los entrevistados frecuentemente distorsionan sus respuestas, de forma intencional y consciente, para lucir más aptos; por tanto, Levashina y Campion (2007) proponen el constructo Falseamiento para estudiar este fenómeno y la escala IFB para medirlo. Por ello, esta tesis analizó la ocurrencia del Falseamiento con dicho instrumento, en una muestra de 300 estudiantes universitarios de 18 a 37 años (M = 23.9, DE = 3.76), de Lima Metropolitana, y a través de una ficha desarrollada para esta investigación se exploraron variables sociodemográficas para ver su relación con el constructo. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la influencia de la lectura crítica en las competencias investigativas de estudiantes de maestría. El enfoque fue cuantitativo, desde el modelo de regresión lineal múltiple. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos: un cuestionario de pensamiento crítico (CPC2) y un cuestionario de competencias investigativas para una muestra de 215 maestrandos de dos nacionalidades. Como resultado, el 39,4 % de los cambios en las competencias investigativas se deben al incremento de la edad y del desarrollo de la lectura crítica. Las variables lectura crítica y edad han sido significativas (intervalo de confianza al 95 %: 0,943; 1,061). Se ejecutó un estudio descriptivo transversal con el objetivo de determinar las variables asociadas al riesgo familiar en los asentamientos humanos 28 de Julio y Triunfo del distrito de Belén, 2013. La rr¡uestra seleccionada en forma probabilística estuvo conformada por 237 fainilias, a quienes se aplicó instrumentos estandarizados como el test de percepción del funcionamiento familiar (validez 0,94 y confiabilidad 0,88), escala de riesgo familiar (confiabilidad 0,783), escala de Apoyo Familiar (confiabilidad 0.85 y validez 0.86). Los hallazgos mostraron que el 55,30% son familias nucleares, 62,40% en etapa de consolidación, 32,90% con hijos adolescentes. El presente estudio se enfocó en determinar los desafíos significativos que enfrenta la industria de la construcción en el Perú, tales como retrasos en los plazos y costos que superan los presupuestos, lo que resulta en insatisfacción para los clientes y pérdidas para las empresas constructoras. Esta tesis propone abordar estas dificultades mediante la implementación del "Last Planner System" para mejorar la gestión de tiempos y costos en proyectos, específicamente en el caso del Mall Aventura Iquitos en 2023. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between reading comprehension and critical thinking among second-grade primary school students at a national educational institution. To this end, a balanced design was used, with a quantitative research approach and a hypothetical-deductive methodology. Two questionnaires on the variable(s) were administered to 91 students at Educational Institution No. 259, located in the Lurinchincha Population Center, Chincha Baja District, in 2024. The results revealed a positive classification of 0.62, obtained with Spearman's Rho coefficient, with a two-tailed significance level of 0.000. Reading comprehension is a competence that can be formally developed in the educational institution. Objective: Implement a workshop-course to assess its effects on reading comprehension, use of strategies and motivation for reading. Construction and validation of an instrument to assess global reading comprehension in third graders

According to national and international assessment results, there is a serious problem regarding global reading comprehension. However, there is disagreement over the instruments used to assess such skills. The goal of this study is to evaluate global reading comprehension in third graders. With the use of Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), an instrument of 30 items and three factors was confirmed: main ideas, inferences, and contextualization of the concept; the instrument was applied to 803 students. We also found that the same construct is appropriate for different contextual variables (gender, shifts, and socioeconomic status). As result, CFA offers a satisfactory solution in both the factorial structure of the scales and the levels of internal consistency.
