Denoising diffusion probabilistic models (DDPMs) have demonstrated significant potential in addressing complex image processing challenges. This paper explores the application of DDPMs in three different areas: reconstruction of remote sensing imagery affected by cloud cover, reconstruction of facial images with occluded areas, and segmentation of bodies of water from remote sensing imagery. Inpainting involves filling in missing regions in images, while DDPMs act as data generators capable of synthesizing information that alings coherently with the context of the original data. Inspired by the inpainting technique, the RePaint approach was adapted and applied to reconstruction tasks. The WaterSegDiff approach, which uses a diffusion model as a backbone, was employed for the segmentation task. In the present work, a mathematical model is developed which involves the equations of fluid mechanics and the energy equation to determine the temperature field of the liquid steel that enters a container to solidify, a situation commonly found in production processes of steel today. Using mathematical techniques, a simplified equation of the energy equation is obtained in which a non-dimensional parameter Pe, the Peclet number, allows to evaluate the transport of the heat by convection to the transmission by diffusion occurred in the mold that contains liquid steel. Using finite differences method, the mathematical model formulated is solved numerically to visualize the cooling process of the liquid steel, from the beginning until the solidification process starts. In the age of the Internet, anonymous online users can form a societal reaction by posting large quantities of critique and insulting comments against (perceived) norm violations on social media. These so-called online firestorms, or Enjō in Japanese, tend to include aggressive behavior against the target. This research aims to reveal the dynamics of Enjō and explores how people communicate with each other in the formation process of Enjō by conducting a comparative case study. This study collects tweets posted in five Enjō cases and compares each case to create conceptual categories of the communication process of Enjō. Results show that the participants of Enjō interact with each other to define the problem of concern through exchange of information. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to propose a detailed methodology to estimate, model and incorporate the non-constant volatility onto a numerical tree scheme, to evaluate a real option, using a quadrinomial multiplicative recombination. Design/methodology/approach. This article uses the multiplicative quadrinomial tree numerical method with non-constant volatility, based on stochastic differential equations of the GARCH-diffusion type to value real options when the volatility is stochastic. Findings. Findings showed that in the proposed method with volatility tends to zero, the multiplicative binomial traditional method is a particular case, and results are comparable between these methodologies, as well as to the exact solution offered by the Black–Scholes model. El estudio evaluó la acción antagonista in vitro de postbióticos, derivados de probióticos nativos de suri (Rhea pennata) frente a Escherichia coli asociado a enteritis bacteriana en suris. Las cepas probióticas aisladas, Lacticaseibacillus, Bacillus rugosus y Pichia ethanolica fueron obtenidas de 30 muestras de heces de suris en cautiverio aparentemente sanos. Los probióticos aislados fueron cultivados en solución de melaza al 5%, solos o en combinaciones para obtener los postbióticos. In Peru, information on the biotechnological potential of native fungi for the degradation of cellulose presents few records. This work aimed to evaluate the cellulolytic activity of isolated fungi in the departments of Cajamarca, Lima, Junín and Huánuco. 289 species of fungi were subjected to reactivation after a conservation period of 7 years using filter paper and Czapeck broth, evaluated semi-quantitatively using the radial diffusion technique on Czapeck Na-CMC agar to then select five strains that were morphologically identified and its cellulolytic capacity was also determined by the Somogyi-Nelson method. 90% (260) of the fungi that underwent semi-quantitative evaluation were reactivated, selecting five strains for their greater clearance area: 14.9, 12.5, 12.0, 14.4 and 12.7 x 102 mm2; SA 726 (Paecilomyces sp), SA 668 (Paecilomyces sp), SA 651 (Paecilomyces sp), SA 683 (Fusariu...

This is the justification for the development of nanotechnology‐based new materials and, in particular, for the synthesis of antibacterial nanocomposites of the type polymer / antibacterial metal, which create surfaces with a large bacteria inhibiting activity. In the present work, antibacterial polymeric nanocomposites have been created by preparing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from a resin emulsion as plastisol and synthesizing copper nanoparticles in‐situ within the polymer matrix. The methodology of the process includes the synthesis of a copper precursor, its dispersion by ultrasonic pulses, its stabilization and mixing with other PVC additives, in order to obtain chemical reduction during the gelation of the plastisols. En la presente tesis de maestría se reporta la preparación, caracterización y evaluación de electrodos de fieltro de grafito modificados con nanoaleaciones de Cu-Ag (NPs Cu- Ag), para su aplicación en procesos electro Fenton. El fieltro de grafito fue caracterizado mediante voltametría cíclica (VC), para evaluar su comportamiento electroquímico, encontrándose una mejor eficiencia al ser activado en un rango de voltaje de -2 a 2 V. Los electrodos activados fueron tratados mediante electro oxidación en presencia de HNO3 1 M y luego se caracterizaron mediante espectroscopía infrarroja por transformada de Fourier (FT-IR).
