Environmental education is an effective tool to apply sustainable production techniques. The objective of this research was to apply environmental education strategies to reduce the use of agrochemicals in the Balsa en Medio community (Ecuador). Using Likert-type scales, a diagnosis was made of the level of knowledge and environmental behavior of the community members. Afterwards, the training plan was implemented applying environmental strategies on the preparation and application of compost, bioles, bioinsecticides and biopreparations with efficient microorganisms in seasonal crops. Finally, the final environmental knowledge and behavior of the participants was evaluated. The results of the diagnosis revealed that 100% of the participants presented a deficient environmental knowledge, while 98% of participants showed inappropriate environmental behavior. After applying an environmental...

Poverty remains one of this millennium’s main problems, which why the first objective of sustainable development is poverty reduction. Multiple actors are working on this issue: states, multilateral organisms, civil societies, and—perhaps less boldly—the private sector, through social responsibility programs. In this research, the aim was to understand how rural families perceive the contribution of CSR programs, in respect to the decrease in rural poverty. A total of 20 rural families, who were beneficiaries from CSR programs belonging to two extractive companies, were interviewed; furthermore, they were no longer poor and were currently dwelling within the highlands and jungles of Perú. The results show that the CSR strategies used by the companies directly and indirectly contribute toward a reduction in rural poverty, and particularly those more specifically related to capacity...

The objective of this study was to evaluate Social Anxiety in preadolescents of an educational establishment in the Province of San Luis, Argentina, and then intervene through a workshop through three stages: Pre-Intervention, Post-Intervention and Follow-up. The Horse Social Anxiety Questionnaire, Arias Salazar, Irurtia and Ollendick (CASO-N24, 2012) was administered. The sample consisted of 13 preadolescents, of both sexes, whose ages were between 10 and 11 years. The analysis was carried out by means of a longitudinal study of repeated measures. The results show significant differences after the intervention performed. This indicates effectiveness in the intervention carried out, favoring the reduction of Social Anxiety in an evolutionary stage of great vulnerability.

The development of nanosatellite has increased in recent years, especially from universities and space agencies of developing countries. This increase is mainly due to reduced costs - compared to standard space missions - of the implementation of nanosatellites missions. Despite the cost reduction on a nanosatellite mission, although it's hard to implement a mission of this dimension for universities in developing countries. This difficulty is mainly due to low economic resources, the poor organization of research groups, the rapid stage of students who after graduation are not longer interested in unfinished projects. By the above reasons, in this paper, we present the proposal to form the INCA Team for its acronym in Spanish 'Investigacion en Ciencias Aeroespaciales' (research on Aerospace Sciences), and also the name of the team refers to one of the most important cultures of Peru.
