The arsenopyrite, FeAsS, it is a mineral that is commonly found associated with gold. In this kind of mineral, Gold is presented in sub-microscopic size particles, encapsulated in a matrix of the same mineral or forming a solid solution, this does not allow the recovery of gold with the available lixiviation techniques. Moreover, a fine grinding does not a chive to break the matrix in which the gold is located, not allowing the lixiviation solutions to come in. La arsenopirita, FeAsS, es un mineral que se encuentra frecuentemente en asociación con oro. En este tipo de mineral, el oro se suele encontrar en forma sub-microscópica, encapsulado en la matriz del mismo mineral, o bien constituyendo una solución sólida, lo cual dificulta o impide la recuperación del oro mediante las técnicas disponibles de lixiviación. Inclusive, una molienda muy fina no logra romper la matriz en la que se encuentra el oro, inhabilitando el acceso a las soluciones de lixiviación. Understanding the changes of a mineral during ore processing is of capital importance for the development of strategies aimed at increasing the efficiency of metal extraction. This task is often difficult due to the variability of the ore in terms of composition, mineralogy and texture. In particular, surface processes such as metal re-adsorption (preg-robbing) on specific minerals are difficult to evaluate, even though they may be of importance as the re-adsorbed material can be blocking the valuable mineral and negatively affect the extraction process. La investigación realizada en las aguas vertidas por el depósito de relave N°6 de la planta concentradora Mahr Tunel, Yauli – La Oroya, promueve el uso del hipoclorito de calcio como un agente oxidante y el cloruro férrico como un agente coagulante, con los cuales se logrará remover los metales pesados contenidos en las aguas de la relavera. Como metales pesados presentes en forma iónica en las aguas tenemos, el cobre, plomo, zinc, fierro, arsénico y cadmio, los cuales por encima de los límites máximos permisibles (LMP) son peligrosos para la vida humana y el ambiente. The research was carried out in communities of the Chapra ethnic group, in the Morona district. It is a non-experimental, observational-descriptive, analytical, cross sectional quantitative study. A structured interview was applied to the leaders of the Chapra Autonomous Government and to the Apu of the communities. The reliability of the Cronbach's Alpha instrument is 0.82. The results of the environmental baseline of the abiotic and biotic environment show that the air remains pure and free of contaminants, and there are no strong winds. The rains are typically from the humid rainforest, fluctuating between 2000 and 3000 mm annually. The annual temperature ranges from a minimum of 22°C to a maximum of 34°C. En la actualidad existen diversas muertes de las truchas por varios motivos como contaminación de dióxido de carbono, oxido disuelto en el agua, temperaturas climatológicas de la provincia y enfermedades a los peces, estos son los puntos más importantes en la acuicultura.
