This paper is part of a bigger research that aims to understand how professional education delivered through Project-Based Learning (PBL) affects self-authorship development on undergraduate students. This part of the project aims to evaluate self-authorship development of undergraduate students enrolled on PBL during four to five years. The method used was qualitative, transversal, with biographical-narrative approach. In deep interviews were the instrument for data construction. Nine students of different semesters voluntarily participate on the interviews. Data analysis were based on categories validated on previous research, using the software Atlas.ti as a tool. Results found that practical experience during professional education would exert different effects on students depending on their self-authorship position. In addition, found that PBL on its own is not sufficient to generat...

During early education, we concentrate our efforts to teach the child what he has to learn, and we do not look at what the child can learn for himself, children learn through interaction with adults, with their peers, with objects, to through the game, and learning projects. From the birth of a child, he can learn and develop. Adult caregivers and the preschooler teacher play a crucial role, knowing the child in action to offer a safe, enriched, and suitable environment. This article presents an analysis of the concepts of care/ education and theories of learning and development through different theoretical frameworks. It also makes them know how the teacher can use simple tools in class to promote children's education through projects. To the extent that adult caregivers, including the teacher, identify the needs and interests of children and know how the child learns according t...

In Cuba, the challenge for universities is to dynamize learning spaces in contexts of economic development, with the relationship between universities and territories being the key to their success. In this paper, we intend to socialize the alternatives that should be assumed for the training of facilitators that articulate in local innovation systems and that departs from the foundations of Education for the development of competences in the professional performance. This way, it contributes to the research of the professional profiles of the local actors who intervene in the processes of development of the food program in Cuba through the application of a questionnaire and discussion groups. The sample used was comprised of various local actors who interact directly in agricultural contexts and perform different functions. The information collected and processing of quantitative data w...

The main objective of this research is to evaluate the influence of project-based learning with the Arduino platform on the development of programming skills of students of the Computer Systems Engineering degree at the Universidad Privada del Norte 2023. The research methodology was framed by a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental design. To carry out the field work, the following instruments were used: a survey, an pretest and posttest. The sample was made up of 39 students from the eighth cycle of the Computer Systems Engineering degree who are taking the Robotics course. The main conclusion of the study indicates that Project-Based Learning does significantly influence the development of programming skills of the students of the Robotics course of the computer systems engineering career. This influence becomes evident in the stages of design, implementation, testing and a...

This article deals with the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the development of the emotional intelligence of first-semester students in a private university in Lima. To achieve this purpose, an applied research was carried out, using the experimental method (quasi-experimental design), given that the independent variable (PBL) will be manipulated so that it produces an effect on the dependent variable (Emotional Intelligence), which will be measured. To do this, a sample of 48 students was taken, it was divided into two groups: one of control (24) and the other one experimental (24) of a total population of 1281 freshmen. For the collection of data, the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Inventory (I-CE) test was used as a pretest. PBL methodology was then applied throughout 16 learning sessions to the experimental group, while the control group received traditional learning methodo...

Applied educational research aimed to determine the influence of situated learning on the development of critical thinking in Higher Pedagogical Education students. To this end, an experimental study was carried out, with a quasi-experimental design, which involved 192 students, selecting a sample of 56 students through a non-probabilistic sampling method. This sample was divided equally into two groups: experimental and control, each consisting of 28 students. Data collection was carried out using a pedagogical test composed of 30 items. The hypothesis evaluation was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the situated learning strategy significantly affects the development of analysis, explanation, inference, interpretation, evaluation and self-regulation capacities in the development of students' critical thinking (p=0.000<0.05).

The profile of graduates from various careers today requires that they have the skills that will allow them to successfully enter their work environment and contribute to the solution of different problems in society. Hence, the objective of this study is to determine the influence of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on the development of critical thinking in higher education students. For this, 11 sessions were provided, with the aforementioned methodology, to 80 students in the experimental group. The approach was a quantitative quasi-experimental design, with two groups. The results showed that the application of PBL was significant in critical thinking because the initial results were 75.5 points and subsequently increased to 120.1. It is concluded that the application of an active methodology such as PBL is effective in the development of high cognitive demand skills.

Curricular diversification, a task inherent to the teacher, has been carried out for many years, this action that seeks to ensure in basic education students a broader, general, versatile training, whose process responds to the characteristics, needs, interests, individual potentialities or of a group of students in a given context. Given this situation, curricular diversification is proposed, a process that seeks to guarantee the relevance and relevance of education in our country. On the other hand, learning experiences constitute the development of activities that present situations for the student to address the significant situation, they are articulated around that purpose. When the student can act in relation to that significant situation, he has developed competencies. The curricular diversification is based on guidelines that seek to establish guidelines that guarantee the under...

The objective of this research was to determine the predominant learning strategy that is related to the development of the autonomy of students belonging to the seventh semester from a public educational institution in Lima. It was developed as a substantive research and with a quantitative approach. Its design was non-experimental and cross-sectional-correlational. The population consisted of 171 students, to whom two questionnaires were applied. The results showed that the information coding strategy has more weight on the development of the autonomy of the students in question. Likewise, it is a risk strategy that means that a student who does not manage it, he will always present low levels of autonomous learning.
