The present study had the objectives of analyzing the prevalence of eating disorders in adolescent women attending school in Metropolitan Lima, identifying the factors related to those disorders and defining the population at risk of developing any of those disorders. A total of 2141 adolescents between 13 and 19 years old in their last three years of high school made up the probabilistic sample. This sample was chosen by clusters in two moments and stratified according to either prívate or public school. The Eating Behavior Inventory (ICA) was administered. Results showed that 16.4% of the cases had one or more eating disorders and 15.1% of the sample was at risk of developing one.

It is discussed whether this is a prohibited mechanism or not and its implications today in Peru. The objective is to give an answer about the prohibition or not of its use. It starts by explaining this way of financing in the market and to show its advantages its observations and why it is not within the legal prohibitions. Healthy eating is a key determinant of physical, mental, and social well-being, particularly during adolescence, when dietary habits become consolidated and strongly influence cognitive and academic development. This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and dietary practices of students in the fourth and fifth grades at the Emblematic Boys’ School “Daniel Hernández”, located in Pampas, Huancavelica (Peru), and to propose strategies to promote healthy eating within the school context. The research followed a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive–comparative design. Background: University students often experience significant changes in their eating habits, which can increase the risk of developing eating disorders (ED). This situation calls for the creation of brief assessment tools to identify college students who may be most at risk. The aim of the study was to determine the psychometric properties of the Eating Attitudes Test-8 (EAT-8) in a Peruvian university population; additionally, the possible differences in the scores of the instrument according to sociodemographic variables, such as gender and age, were examined. In the article published by Huamancayo-Espíritu and Pérez-Cárdenas on the consumption of fruits and vegetables in medical students, the authors estimated a prevalence of low consumption of fruits and vegetables of 60.1% in a sample of 371 students. The most frequent reasons found were the difficulty of obtaining them in the university cafeterias, insufficient time for their selection, purchase and preparation and the fact of living with their father or mother who is in charge of their feeding; the second being the only associated factor, and the last being a protective factor. The study has many strengths, among which the importance of the thematic axis that it develops stands out: healthy lifestyles are one of the great determinants of health, highlighting that one in every 5 deaths in the world is associated with unhealthy eating.

The objective of the study was to determine the effects of Covid-19 isolation and its relationship to eating habits in two districts of the Tacna region in 2020, identifying the effects on food, food consumption, involuntary food search, food behavior and emotional health of the population. The objective of the research was to estimate the relationship between changes in eating habits and emotional well-being of engineering college students at the Private University of Tacna during mandatory confinement due to COVID-19.
