In the year 2000, 189 nations of the world formulated the plan called "Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)" and came together to face the future that had to do with famines, droughts, wars, plagues, poverty and chronic problems in the world. It was known that we had enough food to feed the world, but that it was not being shared; that they had medicines for HIV and for other diseases, but they were very expensive; that earthquakes and floods were inevitable, but not the high number of deaths. Ambitious plans were made, as to eradicate them in a few years. The agreement of the nations for the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) 1 arises in 2015.

Objective. Analyze the relationship between the concentration and the periodicity of the control and the growth and development profile of the child under one year. Methods. A correlational design study was carried out with 309 children under one year from the Aparicio Pomares - Huánuco health center, in 2018. A data collection sheet was used. In the inferential analysis, the Pearson Chi-Square7 Test was used. Results. Among the newborns, 74.2 % (207) presented a concentration of controls and 43.0 % (120) maintained the periodicity of controls. Likewise, 94.3 % (263) were diagnosed with adequate growth and 100.0 % (279) had normal psychomotor development. In children aged 1 to 11 months, 62.8 % (194) showed a concentration of controls and 13.9 % (43) had a periodicity of controls. Krapfia weberbaueriStandl. & J. F. Macbr. is an endemic species from Peru, categorized as vulnerable, and distributed in the departments of Ancash, Huanuco, Junin and San Martin. This work reports the reproductive development of the species under controlled conditions of light and temperature (12 hours light/12 hours darkness, 12 °C during light hrs and 8 °C during dark hrs). Entire plants at reproductive stage were collected at Cordillera Blanca (Ancash), where it is found forming patches, at an elevation of 4200 to 4800 m. The species has large and showy flowers, which from anthesis to the onset of senescence remain responsive, however at a greater extent in the mature flower, stage at which the dehiscence of stamens and release of pollen grains reaches 100%. Objective. To measure the level of competency development of Peruvian primary care nurses in the control of growth and development of children under five years old. Methods. A cross-sectional, descriptive, quantitative study was designed with a population group of 100 nurses working in primary care health networks located in Lima, Ica, and Trujillo, using a non-probabilistic census sampling method. Data were collected using observation as the technique; the instrument was a performance checklist for growth, development, and immunizations. Results. The majority of the studied nurses presented a low level of competencies related to the growth and development of Peruvian children under five years old (60%), while 37% presented a medium level of performance in these competencies, and only 3% demonstrated a high level. Other factors such as dry weather, wind exposure and microtrauma with dust particles, have been linked to development of pterygium. Objective: To determine the association between ocular exposure to particulate matter and development of pterygium. Methods: This case-control study was conducted in a company dedicated to the production and marketing of toilets. We included a total of 90 cases identified in November 2013 and 184 controls. The aim of this study was to develop a stochastic simulation model to estimate implementation costs of porcine cysticercosis (CP) control programmes. Three scenarios were proposed: (1) use of a commercial recombinant vaccine (RV), (2) mixed use of RV plus oxfendazole (OFZ), and (3) dosing with OFZ. To establish the efficacy of the interventions, the probabilities of elimination of cysticercosis were obtained through the “cystiSim” agent-based model. The cost model was developed in R with 10 000 iterations. It was found that the mixed scenario offered a probability of 0.987 eliminating cysticercosis in 6.5 years and with an annual cost of S/. 335,208 (95% CI: S/ 309,922 – 368,698) (1 US$ = S/. 3.75). Introducción: La anemia es un problema de salud pública que afecta principalmente a los niños menores de cinco años en el Perú, debido a la deficiencia de hierro. Objetivo: Determinar el impacto del control del crecimiento y desarrollo (CGD) en la reducción de la anemia en niños menores de cinco años en el Perú, considerando el análisis de la ENDES 2021. Método: Estudio analítico. Se realizó un análisis secundario de datos de la encuesta ENDES del año 2021. Resultados: El 31,4 % de los niños menores de cinco años presenta anemia, donde el 38,3 % corresponde a la zona rural, el 34,0 % a niños, el 56,9 % son niños menores de un año, el 38,5 % de madres con educación primaria y el 40,8 % de los más pobres, que muestran diferencias significativas. In recent years, nanotechnology has made significant progress in various fields, including agriculture, where nanofertilizers play a pioneering role in improving crop productivity and reducing environmental pollution. In this study, a controlled-release nanofertilizer was developed using chitosan nanoparticles loaded with nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The chitosan nanoparticles (CS-NPs) were prepared via an ionic gelation method using sodium tripolyphosphate and characterized by scanning transmission electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy. The results revealed that the nanoparticle size ranged from 17.21 nm to 18.32 nm. The controlled release of N, P, and K was evaluated over 240 hours.
