In the inferential analysis, the Pearson Chi-Square7 Test was used. Results. Among the newborns, 74.2 % (207) presented a concentration of controls and 43.0 % (120) maintained the periodicity of controls. Likewise, 94.3 % (263) were diagnosed with adequate growth and 100.0 % (279) had normal psychomotor development. In children aged 1 to 11 months, 62.8 % (194) showed a concentration of controls and 13.9 % (43) had a periodicity of controls. Similarly, 57.0 % (176) were diagnosed with adequate growth and 97.7 % (302) had normal psychomotor develop...

Objective. To determine public servants’ perception from an administrative health branch on their degree of digital competence. Methods. A descriptive study was used. It was comprised of 87 public servants (46 women and 41 men), coming from the administrative branch of the Executing Unit 404 from the Huanuco Health Network, during 2020. For the data collection, a digital competence scale was used. For the inferential analysis, chi-square test was used for a sample. Results. Findings showed that the general level of digital competence was basic (62.1%). Specifically, information and technology dimensions were perceived in a higher percentage: 51.7% and 39.1%, respectively. Digital coexistence, communication and collaboration dimensions were perceived in a lower percentage. And, statistically, a higher level of digital competence was found in basic level skills (p=<0.000). Conclusion....

Objective. To determine the relationship between knowledge and application of biosafety protocols by COVID-19. Methods. The research was descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 45 health workers belonging to the Hospital Materno Infantil Carlos Showing Ferrari de Huánuco, 2020, who responded to a knowledge questionnaire and an observation guide on biosafety by COVID-19. Spearman's rho correlation coefficient was used for statistical analysis. Results. 97.8 % of the workers (44) showed correct compliance with biosafety protocols by COVID-19 and 62.2 % (28 workers) achieved regular level knowledge. On the other hand, knowledge was significantly associated with compliance with biosafety protocols by COVID-19, with p = 0.000; likewise, this application of protocols is significantly related to the knowledge dimensions: knowledge of the disease (p = 0.000),...

The inferential analysis involved a bivariate logistic regression model and a multivariate predictive model to associate various factors with COVID-19 mortality. Results: The predictive logistic regression model identifed a COVID-19 mortality rate of 8.19% (74 patients). Factors significantly associated with increased mortality included advanced age (OR = 3.24; CI = 1.83 – 5.75), minimum oxygen saturation at admission (OR = 4.25; CI ...

The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the attitude towards information and communication technologies (ICTs) and the use of virtual teaching-learn-ing environments on the part of teachers at the University of Huánuco (Peru) during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was based on the positivist paradigm and consisted of a quantitative approach, analytical method and correlational design. The sample comprised 210 teachers to whom the teacher’s attitude towards ICTs scale and the questionnaire on the use of virtual teaching-learning environments were applied. As a result, a positive (rs= .53) and significant (p = .00) relationship was detected between both variables. It was concluded that the use of virtual environments was positively and significantly related with the attitudes towards ICTs of the university teachers in the sample; in other words, the more posi...
