The relationship between the styles of coping with stress and psychological well-being is explored in a group of school teenagers (n = 237), aged 16 and 17, belonging to a school of leaders. The stress coping styles questionnaire and the psychological well-being scale were used. The results indicate that minimal practice of problem-focused coping styles are inversely related to high psychological well-being; while, minimal development of emotion-focused and additional stress-coping styles are related to low development of psychological well-being.

Se explora la relación en entre los estilos de afrontamiento al estrés y el bienestar psicológico en un grupo de adolescentes escolares (n = 237) de 16 y 17 años, pertenecientes a una Escuela de Líderes. Se utilizaron el Cuestionario de Estilos de Afrontamiento al Estrés y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico. Se evidencio que mínima practica de los estilos de afrontamiento enfocados en el problema se relacionan inversamente con el alto bienestar psicológico; mientras que, un mínimo desarrollo de estilos de afrontamiento al estrés enfocado en la emoción y adicionales se relacionan con bajo desarrollo de bienestar psicológico.

The formation of stable metallic/polymeric joints is a huge challenge in the materials sciences. Adhesion requires interphase that is able to specifically interact with the metallic phase. The primary amino groups exhibit copolymers as highly reactive to metal surfaces. This article will give a better understanding of the mechanisms of chemo-absorption by chemical functionalization of polyimides, as well as in the wet development of metallization of materials based on H2 reduction in polymers. And it will be evidenced by comparisons by measures of polymer/metal characterization.

The application of edible coatings obtainable from alternative biodegradable materials has gained attention as a promising treatment to prolong the shelf-life of fresh-cut vegetables. Thus, this work aimed to develop a biodegradable coating based on fruit and vegetable residues flour. Immersion coating strategy was studied on the quality of minimally fresh-cut carrots during refrigeration storage by means of weight loss, color variation, pH, titratable acidity and soluble solids content. Better performance was obtained for coated carrots, which exhibited a tendency to have lower whiteness index than uncoated counterparts and enhanced overall quality. Despite a drop in color saturation expressed by chroma values (varying from 59 to 46) was observed, color index presented a positive value for all samples (varying from 13 to 15) indicating orange color preservation throughout storage. The results point out some effects of the ovaric hormones like substance over the early embryological development. Estrogens show a tendency to decrease the egg segmentation rate and to decrease the mucin coat around the egg. In the other hand, progesterone produces only increase of the mucin coat.

This research develops a microbicidal aqueous paint to prevent infections on high-touch surfaces. Based on the experimental tests, two chemical formulations were proposed consisting of an acrylic latex resin, silicone resin, titanium oxide, zinc omazide, copper oxide nanoparticles and additives. SnO2 electrodes doped with Sb were prepared, supported on porous titanium sheets by impregnation, sintering and thermal decomposition of precursor solutions with different mass percentages of Sn and Sb (Sn: Sb = 9:1 and Sn: Sb = 7:3). The electrodes were coated with a layer of ß-PbO2 obtained by anodic electrodeposition method at 65 ° C and a current density of 30 mA cm-2, for 30 minutes. The electrodes were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The results obtained showed that the catalyst with the highest content of Sn provides the optimal conditions for the interlayer formation between Ti and PbO2 , such as the formation of a homogeneous film, low overpotentials for the chlorine evolution reaction and stability at neutral pH. This paper deals with the scale development of a prototype of a clavicle from tagua plant, which was subjected to mechanical testing and in vitro biocompatibility tests in this part of the work emphasizes the biocompatibility tests performed. The biocompatibility of a biomaterial depends on various factors such as their surface characteristics, its structural composition and the coatings used on them. Dark chocolate coatings contain a high percentage of cocoa, which is pleasing to the consumer’s taste. The aim of the research was to develop a bitter-type chocolate coating from the combination of CCN51 and super tree cocoa. In this study, an experimental method, with 18 treatments was applied. In the sensory analysis a hedonic scale test with 30 untrained judges and 15 trained ones was carried out, applying a completely random unifactorial design. The judges determined that T1 treatment with a content of 70% cocoa liquor, had a mean value of 3.8, while the value for the untrained judges was not significance. A bromatological analysis of the best treatment was made based on the NTE INEN 621:2010, resulting in moisture content of 37.86%, fat 9.26%, protein 2.04% and ash 99.38%, defatted cocoa dry extract 98.41%, dry extract of total cocoa and microbiological results less than 100 ufc.m...

Hydrolysable tannins are natural polyphenols susceptible to hydrolysis that can be extracted from different vegetable plants. Tara pods, of Peruvian origin, concentrate a high tannin content and, besides their low exploitation impact, their tannin extract has shown high potential industrial applications due to their ability to form complexes with a broad variety of metal ions. However, developing an anticorrosive pigment of low-cost, high efficiency and reduced environmental impact is still a challenge. El objetivo de estudio fue comparar el CHROMagar ESBL y el ChromoSelect agar ESBL para la detección de bacterias productoras de betalactamasas de espectro extendido aislado de muestras clínicas en Lima 2024. Materiales y Métodos: Esta investigación fue observacional y se desarrolló con 133 cepas de enterobacterias aisladas de urocultivo. Se siguieron recomendaciones de la guía CLSI M100-S24 para la detección de BLEE. Su comparó los resultados del cultivo bacteriológico de ChromoSelect agar ESBL versus CHROMagar ESBL mediante el análisis de las pruebas diagnósticas.
