Antecedentes: Los cambios de estilo de vida y la mayor valoración de una dieta saludable ha permitido el desarrollo de alimentos y bebidas funcionales. Estas bebidas funcionales, sean naturales o artificiales, contienen sustancias benéficas para la salud o potencian algún aspecto de esta. Además, se consumen con cierta frecuencia y presentan pigmentos relacionados a sus componentes. No existe información sobre el efecto que puede producir sobre restauraciones de composite. Objetivo: Evaluar la influencia de bebidas funcionales en el color de un composite de nanorelleno. Zea Mays L. variety purple (purple corn) is a plant native of America, which has the episperm seeds (grains) and the cobs (cob) in purple, which gives special characteristics to the pigments that have (between 1.5% and 6.0%), called anthocyanins, which belong to the group of flavonoids. This work studies the dependence of Cs-137 root uptake on the structure of landscape, especially on the properties of soils, under controlled conditions. Researches were carried out at various levels of Cs-137 contamination (from 20 up 1000 kBq/m²), with five different types of soils, which differ in texture and granulometric composition. The results showed that transfer factor (TF) values of Cs-137 differ 5 times for the natural grassy coenoses. The correlation between Cs-137 TF values and granulometric composition of soil was determined for both automorphic and hydromorphic mineral soils.

Objective: To determine the association between frailty syndrome and family functioning among older adults with diabetic retinopathy. Materials and methods: An analytical and cross-sectional study conducted among patients diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy. The ophthalmology department diagnosed diabetic retinopathy through pupil dilation, using tetracaine and an ophthalmoscope. Three groups were determined using the FRAIL questionnaire: frail, prefrail and nonfrail; the sample sizes were 39, 64 and 76, respectively, matched by age. Microalgae are photosynthetic organisms with cosmopolitan distribution (i.e., marine, freshwater and terrestrial habitats) and possess a great diversity of species [1] and consequently an immense variation in biochemical compositions [2]. To date genomic information is available mainly from the model green microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii [3]. Here we provide the dataset of a de novo assembly and functional annotation of the transcriptomes of three native oleaginous microalgae from the Peruvian Amazon. One of the fruits that has been widely studied is the murta (Ugni molinae), which appears to contain various beneficial health properties. This review compiles scientific information on the functional and beneficial properties of murta for human health, such as the main components associated with anti-inflammatory activity, antimicrobial activity, antioxidant activity, nutritional composition, other uses of murta, economic aspects, and current and future challenges of murta, all based on updated scientific work.

The complex refractive indices of formamidinium cesium lead mixed-halide (FA0.83Cs0.17Pb(I1 − xBrx)3) perovskite thin films of compositions ranging from x = 0 to 0.4, with both flat and wrinkle-textured surface topographies, are reported. Films are characterized using a combination of variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometry and spectral transmittance in the wavelength range of 190 nm to 850 nm. Optical constants, film thicknesses and roughness layers are obtained point-by-point by minimizing a global error function, without using optical dispersion models, and including topographical information supplied by a laser confocal microscope. Pleurocollybia cibaria Singer es una seta comestible nativa de Cusco que goza de mucha popularidad. Se expende en la fiesta de “Q’oncha Raymi” y en los mercados de la ciudad durante la época de lluvia.
