We present a classification of irregular singular points and infinity of second-order linear differential equations; Furthermore, we show some Wronskian results of the solutions and their derivatives for those equations. We use the bibliographic reference of Butkov and Krantz for the development of the theoretical framework, Sabbah focuses the case on complex manifolds and Scardua-León on second and third order differential equations. To achieve the results we repeatedly use the inductive-deductive method and the handling of the indices for the series.

Interrelationships between two species are a basic theme in Population Dynamics, particularly the interaction between predators and their prey. This importance is due to the fact that it allows a deeper understanding of the behavior of complex food webs. In this paper we extend the analysis of a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model by assuming that the functional response is sigmoid or Holling type III and the predator have an alternative food. We show that the system representing the model has up to three positive equilibrium points; we establish conditions to determine the nature of each equilibrium point. In addition, we show the existence of different types of bifurcations, including those of Hopf and the homoclinic. The analytical results are discussed from an ecological perspective.

Objective. To approach higher agricultural education as a complex structure, explained by the functional relationships between the formative and the executive, under performance contexts that nestle in uncertainty and chaos. Method. The systemic alternative is proposed as a way to reach new rationalities about what higher agricultural education, agronomic training and its professional configuration should be, through a critical and reflexive approach to its professional practices. The present work shows the synergistic application of reflectance spectroscopy and core-shell molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for rapid quantification of tartrazine in soft drinks. Studies evaluated the performance of the MIPs synthesized in the presence of silica nanoparticles unfunctionalized and functionalized with [3-(methacryloyloxy)propyl]trimethoxysilane. Although the use of functionalized silica nanoparticles promoted the highest adsorption capability of tartrazine, the material was found to be less selective when it was applied in real samples. ABSTRACT Introduction Although the absence of memory impairment was considered among the diagnostic criteria to differentiate Alzheimer's disease (AD) from Behavioural Variant of Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD), current and growing evidence indicates that a significant percentage of cases of bvFTD present with episodic memory deficits. In order to compare the performance profile of the naming capacity and episodic memory in patients with AD and bvFTD the present study was designed. Methods Cross-sectional and analytical study with control group (32 people). The study included 42 people with probable AD and 22 with probable bvFTD, all over 60 years old. Determinar si la fragilidad (según el índice mFI-5) es un factor predictor de mortalidad postoperatoria de los pacientes geriátricos sometidos a cirugía abdominal por tumor gastrointestinal. Materiales y métodos: Estudio de enfoque observacional - analítico, de tipo casos y controles, que se llevó a cabo en 96 pacientes geriátricos sometidos a cirugía abdominal por tumor gastrointestinal del Hospital de Alta Complejidad “Virgen de la Puerta”, durante el 2018 - 2022. Resultados: La fragilidad (según el índice mFI-5) se asoció significativamente con la mortalidad postoperatoria (OR 3.01; IC 95%: 1.22–7.39; p = 0.015).
