Exposure to high-altitude hypobaric hypoxia provides a useful pathophysiological model for studying the brain's response to reduced oxygen availability. In this study, gene expression was analyzed in different brain regions (hypothalamus, striatum, hippocampus, and cerebral cortex) of rats exposed to 3153 m a.s.l., focusing on markers of inflammation and cellular adaptation: NLRP3, IL-1β, and HIF-1α. For the samples obtained from each brain region, three consecutive procedures were performed following the manufacturer's instructions: total RNA extraction, reverse transcription to complementary DNA (cDNA), and quantification by real-time PCR (qPCR). Findings showed limited induction of NLRP3, whereas IL-1β and HIF-1α were markedly overexpressed. The phenomenon of informality in Peru is a complex and multifaceted one, reflecting the limitations of the capitalist system in providing decent and survival-enhancing jobs for citizens. The author postulates that the phenomenon of informal activity can be attributed to two fundamental reasons. The first of these reasons relates to unfavourable economic circumstances that force people to act outside the law. The second reason is the intention to deviate from the law in order to increase income in a particular activity. The life cycle of species belonging to Strigea remains complex and poorly understood, especially in the Neotropical region, where information about their intermediate hosts is scarce. Rallidae birds are known for their adaptability to aquatic and semi-aquatic environments since they exhibit ability to disperse and adjust to a wide range of ecological conditions. In this study, we examined seventeen specimens of Pardirallus maculatus (Boddaert, 1783) and one of Pardirallus sanguinolentus (Swainson, 1838) collected in southern Brazil in search for Strigea sp. metacercariae. Metacercariae occurred in 11.1% (2/18) of birds with infection intensity of 12 (Strigea sp. 2) and 28 (Strigea sp. 1) helminths found in P. sanguinolentus and P. maculatus, respectively. Introduction: The variations of the intentional monitoring carried out by university students on attributes and temporalities of complex learning are analyzed. Objective: to identify the structural relationships between affective and cognitive attributes considered at different times of performance in two tasks of academic skills. Method: intentional sample of 420 students of Higher Education of Mexico and Colombia, of both sexes, answered: a) an inventory of the self-report on variations in attributes and temporal moments in two different tasks and b) two tests, one of comprehension of texts and another of mathematical skills. Los cauces meándricos muestran configuraciones complejas a lo largo de la planicie de inundación, en las cuales se observan curvas orientadas hacia aguas arriba (US) y aguas abajo (DS), es decir son canales asimétricos.
