Descripción
Sumario:This work aims to understand the role of school management in promoting the phenomena of teacher discomfort and well-being in the post-coronavirus pandemic context. This is exploratory research, of a qualitative nature, based on the assumptions of bibliographic review and documentary studies. Productions exploring the post pandemic period gradually emerge, and there is a significant number of approaches telling about the experience of teaching in times of pandemic. The results show the intertwining between factors prior to the pandemic with the emerging context in education. Management can contribute to tackling discomfort and promoting teacher well-being through different scopes, especially by taking everyone's health as a basis, expanding spaces for sensitive listening and dialogue between teaching staff and managers about working conditions, atmosphere, and organizational culture in a democratic way. The need for managers to develop participatory skills and practices and invest in more articulate and affective management was evident. We highlight the importance of management teams in terms of developing an investigative role for/in everyday school life to act in a reflective and coherent way in favor of citizenship. We note that it is necessary to evaluate the performance of the educational community over these years, update management instruments, invest in continued training and infrastructure suitable for educational work. Furthermore, it is suggested to continue studies and surveys involving the appreciation of education professionals and the factors of discomfort and well-being in managers and teachers, taking into account their complexity and specificities.
